The staff was very helpful with answering our questions about the menu (especially with our friendly translator at the table) :) and the food was excellent. Their beers are great too! I wish I had saved room for dessert, but I'll definitely be back to visit again and will make another stop in here when i return.

My wife booked a stay when we visited LEGOLAND Deutschland. After traveling all day from Paris, we…read morejust wanted to relax and have a good meal. We had our best meal in Europe here. My niece got Schmankerl Schnitzel (pork schnitzel with ham, mushrooms and cheese that's roasted in the oven), my wife got Schlosstöpfchen (pork cutlets in a mushroom cream sauce with vegetables and Spätzle), my oldest son got a kid's Schnitzel (Buffalo Bill), my daughter got Weißwürste, my youngest son got Bratwürste, and I got Schlossschnitzel (stuffed w/ onions, mustard). My wife's Butterspätzle was sooo good. My niece and I also got Bratkartoffeln (sliced potatoes roasted in butter, bacon and topped with some greenery) and it was awesome as well. We shared everyone's dishes and were so full. My wife and I had some local Weißbieren and again sooo tasty. We had been driving most the day and coming into a village with great food, cozy accommodations, church bells and a wonderful walk out your backdoor to the greenery and wonder of Bavaria...just wonderful.

But their other foods are really not bad either. The hubby likes the Cordon Bleu. The Döner is really good and so are the salads and the Italian pizzas they offer. It is a familiy owned business, the service is very friendly and the beergarten cozy. Since I only come here during summer, I never sit inside. The beer garten is right next to the train track (it used to be the station restaurant), but the trains go really slowly here, so the noise is not too bad.
