Our dim-witted server didn't know a word of English which is completely fine. But didn't attempt to give any suggestions or explain the bullshit menu. Why the 1 star? At all. After which I saw this moron bring out meat and cheese plates to not one not two but THREE different tables. 3 euros for a cup of tea and beyond shit service? Yea right. In short if you're going to have some coffee and some food walk right down the block to coffee mamas for better prices and service. Maybe it was because we didn't speak the language maybe it was because we were American or maybe it was my skin color either way I'll never be back to this joke of a cafe. Cheers.

Ambiance: I loved the sheepskin rugs thrown on the cafe chairs outside. It was quaint and comfy all at once. They do have indoor seating, but I chose to sit outside in a sunny day. You can order at the counter and they'll serve you at your seat. It was really fun to people-watch the locals walking to the park and around the neighborhood. Food: I ordered a small salad and a potato soup, which came with bread. The salad dressing was simple, light and good. Not too heavy. The potato soup was creamy purée that was perfectly seasoned to have lots of flavor, but without being super spicy. There were small chunks of carrot that were a fun added texture. I ate it all up without complaints! I also grabbed a rhubarb drink, since they're so rare in the US. Delicious and refreshing! Service: The servers were really friendly and explained the menu in English, which doesn't happen all the time. I got there kind of late in the lunch period and they didn't act rudely when I was clearly interrupting their own break to eat. Great service! Final Verdict: I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Munich to try out more on their menu. Loved the welcoming yet quirky sheepskin, the people watching opportunity and local feel. Danke!

But the music - a very lame radio station with lots of nndum nndum stuff and nndum nndum remixes from songs that were perfectly fine before, currently on a loop of about 8 songs which are turning my brain slowly into mushy slush- make it impossible to work; the door is open wide on warm days which brings in all the smoke from the terrace and the decor is a bit old and not very cozy; kind of like a diner. I am taking away one star for the deco/smoke problem and then another for the music, lack of satisfactory wifi solution and the fact that a large coffee cup is in fact very small. Having said that, the healthy options including soja milk and that super bread they put in the piadinas have ensured I shall return- without the laptop and with good headphones. Best recommended to take away.
