I went to this place because of all the amazing reviews! The service I got was great! our waitress was very helpful and understanding and checked up on us several times. She also made some great recommendations. I had the special drink as well which was a strawberry margarita, and it was definitely on the stronger side. We sat outside bc it was such a beautiful day. Cute spot downtown Jackson Hole. We ordered the eggs Benedict and Cajun biscuits and gravy. Eggs Benedict was average, but the Cajun biscuits and gravy was the best we've had in Jackson Hole! Good location, ambiance, service, food, and coffee. Between the six of us, our breakfast included waffles, eggs, bacon waffle, Benedict, and biscuits and gravy. Everything tasted good (except my one son did not care for his ham and egg scramble and although my wife liked the taste of her Benedict she did not think it was hot enough). Breakfast on the deck on a sunny spring day during off season. Dog to people ratio greater than 1.0, but pretty well behaved patrons, including the people. Fried chicken and waffles (thigh undercooked), burrito and heuvos rancheros. Lots of local sourcing. Good for them. Mimosas all around. Our waitress offered a rep on the chicken and waffles. An appetizer of San Daniel Prosciutto with peaches in vinegar and black pepper. Which was excellent. The Idaho trout and Venison as main dishes. A few long lost friends and I headed into Cafe Genevieve for a little happy hour fun! Once we arrived we were able to sit at a large table in the back corner, our own little private area so we could catch up on life. Oops, I guess I will take a happy hour moscow mule! Happy hour prices are delightful! Make that two, I will take two! After 30 minutes we all decided to order some happy hour dishes. I picked the burger which was great and cooked to my liking. The side of fries that accompanied the mouth watering burger was shared around the table amongst 5 people with a ton of fries leftover. If you order the burger make sure you are hungry! Another one of my friends ordered the grill cheese and tomato soup, she said it hit the spot and then some! The atmosphere was low-lit and intimate but our large group didn't feel like we had to keep overly mellow and quiet. The young gentleman that was helping our table was wonderful, Michael I think his name was. He was very personable and fun which made our experience even better. I am excited to try this place for brunch, on the deck, in the summer. Dinner here was a disappointment. The pulled pork was chunky and not very tasty. The Cole slaw wasn't very good either. My wife's fried chicken was dry, and my daughter's burger was dry and tasteless. On top of that, there was a white hair on my daughter's fries (which before that tasted decent). The hair was brought to the waiter's attention, who said he would talk to his manager, but no manager came and nothing was done. I'd avoid this place. read more

Because COVID, we ordered dinner to go. Both the service and food were top notch. The braised short rib was probably the best thing we ate while in Jackson. It was cooked to perfection! Pretty simple breakfast foods that pack in a lot of flavor. I got the grits with eggs and was super pleased. The bites of bacon and green onions really worked well with the egg yolk. My husband got the biscuits and gravy and loved the flavor of the gravy. His scrambled eggs were a bit bland and needed to mix with the gravy. He mentioned that he could have done with a side of potatoes, which you can order on the side (but he just finished Lotoja so he's particularly ravenous). We sat on the patio and it was a great atmosphere. It was a tad chilly and the heaters weren't evenly distributed, so if it's cold, you might want to request a spot inside or a spot near a heater. Great spot for lunch with the pup! We sat outside and it was perfect, they even brought out a dish of ice water for my pup. We arrived later in the afternoon, so the options were a little limited. Stopped in for happy hour because I've been wanting to try the pig candy. Most love it, we didn't care too much for it. You can definitely taste the bacon, but the candied part wasn't my thing. My son on the other hand loved it. I got the orange margarita for $5 during happy hour and bud light draft was only $3. It was a nice little break during our shopping. Since most things were ran out of popular things I went ahead and tried there Brussels sprouts just as a meal since it was listed a an appetizer. Since I am a picky eater with meats and stuff I generally try to stick to things I normally would eat. Brussels sprouts were amazingly almost too spicy like it was made with Sriracha sauce and crispy. I loved it but it was enough for 4 people not for 1 person. Bartender who helped us out when our waiter wasn't able to should get more experience with waiter/waitress and giving the guests an awesome experience like my family and I had. Another awesome spot for breakfast in Jackson. We were seated on their patio which was great, because the weather was perfect. I love the fact that they had breakfast favorites with a bit of a twist. Cajun sausage gravy, New Orleans benedict and more. The eggs for the benedict were poached perfectly. I thought the boudin was a little dry but it had great flavor. Others at our table had the waffles with fresh berries and said they were delicious. The service was great, never had to ask for a refill and were checked on to make sure everything was to our liking. I will definitely be back here on my next visit to Jackson. read more

Went here for brunch, had a delightful time! The staff are overly kind and courteous. The Manager/Supervisor Sarah explained the history of the cafe and the building, and even showed us old photos of Genevieve and the building! Wow! What great service! We had brunch and everything was fresh and hot. Eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and tons of hot coffee were served. The portions are good and the prices are fair. Breakfast is served until 3, you can get lunch at 11, and the dinner menu has a wonderful variety on it. Overall excellent service and great food. We will be back! read more

My husband, mother-in-law and I enjoyed a late breakfast here yesterday. The location is great (walking distance from most hotels) and the ambience is wonderfully warm and inviting. Coffee was strong and delish. My hubby had 2 egg combo, MIL had a Belgian waffle, and I opted for a daily special, pork belly eggs Benedict. Everything was perfectly prepared and delivered in reasonable time. Service was just as true. Definitely recommend a stop here for breakfast while in Jackson. read more

Nice waiter / service pacing and waiter knew his menu. Room near tv was quieter and could still watch the Warriors nba finals. Laid back atmosphere. Unusual proteins but nice delivery. Terrible Service - worst I've had in a very long time and I dine out daily! Our server took our order then never stopped back by. Another person delivered our food, it was incorrect but we couldn't correct it because never saw our server. My iced tea and other drinks were finished before food arrived and again, no server no refills so ate without even water. When I finally asked another server if I could have iced tea, she said she'd find my server. Server finally came over and said " I was taking other orders" - Wow for 30 minutes? With the check, she delivered the missing bacon and refilled only my tea. SO if you don't like refills, and don't mind being ghosted by a server with attitude - you'll be a great fit for a $65 breakfast for 3 here! read more

As a restaurant worker myself, I know that customer service is key even if it is just a smile or a simple hello. We are huge fans of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. After seeing this restaurant on the show I was very much excited to try it, only to find out all the items cooked on the show were no longer served there. Our waiter, Chris was rude as well as the hostess that sat us. The food was mediocre and definitely not worth $23 for fried chicken. I was very much excited to be in Jackson Hole, but if this restaurant is any representation of the town itself, I must say I am extremely disappointed. Never have I ever dealt with such rude employees. Will never be returning here again. read more

One of the better meals I've had since coming to Yellowstone/Jackson Hole! Had the reuben and the corned beef was delicious along with the homemade chips. Very disappointed, especially after reading all the great reviews. The food was delivered to the table cold and it took 3 requests for ketchup/sauce before we received it. The bacon was so over cooked it could only be called burnt, the biscuits were so dry it took a sharp knife to cut through them despite the huge scoop of gelatinous goop they called Cajun gravy on top of the biscuits. I came here with my family for our last night in Jackson and we all loved our meals. We started with two orders of the spinach and strawberry salad for the four of us and they nicely split it for us into individual portions without us asking. We also had to try the pig candy. It was too sweet for my mom but the rest of us happily finished it off. We all really enjoyed our entrees - I tried my own (the pork) as well as the special which was marlin and the beef tenderloin which was perfectly cooked.
