It's been awhile since we've been here. We stopped in for a Sunday lunch and it wasn't very busy. Our server was a delight! We love their salsa and chips. And the Hubbs enjoys a menu with pictures. The Hubbs ordered Mexican pizza with shredded beef. I ordered a fish taco and a cheese enchilada. The enchilada was excellent - I love their red sauce. My fish taco was a miss - the fish was crispy, but the taco was so loaded with tartar sauce, lettuce and tomatoes that the tortilla was soggy. You couldn't pick it up to eat it. So I just ate the fish with a fork. The Hubbs really enjoyed the pizza. And we got chips and salsa to take home. The restaurant decor is definitely dated, but it also feels like going to Nana's house. read more

Soon as we walked in, server said it's gonna be a few minutes.. boyfriend asked has it been busy (to start conversation) her response was "no but i have other tables that were here first mister." Worst Mexican restaurant is ever been to! 6 people at the table and no one liked the food. I ordered a beef burrito and that's what it was. shredded beef wrapped in a burrito, no cheese, no sauce, no nothing, terrible! I had to cut the burrito with a knife! 8/31/2023 - 3 Year Update - Thought well maybe 3 years they had cleaned up their act went to lunch the other day and walked over to where the poor dogs are kept real quick just to take a peep. And wouldn't you guess still the same disgusting things going on! Their dogs are still kept in the most disgusting conditions feces everywhere and looks like some of the dogs are digging up the back yard you could see pipes kind of sticking out of the openings hope those aren't gas pipes or water main pipes could be a costly repair job for the owner's. I sure do hope that the City takes a closer look since they say on their website that you need to clean up after your pets everyday and take care of them just horrible that anyone would treat a living being this way wonder how they treat their family if they do this to their animals. I looked on the See Click and Fix app and someone else has reported this just yesterday and now the ticket it closed hopefully they sent someone to look into this otherwise I might have to send this to ASPCA. 8/31/2020 - 1 star is being generous with these guys. We happen to take a quick look and next to this shed is what looks like a kennel or something that they keep about 3 dogs in. The dogs seem friendly but then that's when this god awful smell hit us. It was feces and not just your normal amount of feces where you have your kids pick it up every other day. No it was a bunch of feces that was right next to that same shed building that they had just come out of with food for their patrons! I couldn't believe it and was disgusted that they would have kept anything that is for the restaurant in there! I can't believe that when the Health Department does their inspection that they don't see this unless the owner's don't have that shed listed as an additional building they keep storage for their restaurant in. Just appalling and disgusting will never eat here every again! read more

Did an to go order as we do a lot at Manuel's but time as the manager opens the to go box says burrito enchilada style get home nothing no sauce also #15 chicken green sauce COMPLETELY WRONG. Things have really changed at Manuels i rarely ever call but did and says oh yes it was ,Well i know what i order. I love it here the customer service is always amazing to me and the prices for the food is always affordable For me I will always be here and they give you free chips and salsa which is always awesome usually they gave me one or two salsa with you give me two salsa for free so which is really cool I like their burgers and burgers are good and the burritos are really good as well I have tried the shrimp with a skirt steak and it's really good Plus the churros are really good as well and they accept Apple Pay which is amazing to me since I don't like a credit card with me at all but yeah I will continue come over here and I will continue to come over here read more

I always forget that this small town treasure is here. The food atmosphere and service is very traditional and always wonderful. Chips Salsa and bean dip is really good. I miss the soup buffet. Unfortunately a casualty of covid but pozole and menudo is still on the menus. read more

Today, I was at the tire shop and sure was starving and saw across the way a restaurant named Cafe Manuel. I have seen this place passing by for more than 10 years and finaly decided to check it out. Hard to say food was not to my satisfaction. My husband order and got it wrong. I order a plate, I did not want flour tortillas, which I got, my beans were spoiled and the rice was bland. This will be our 1st and last meal there. So, we are going back to Eva's Mexican restaurant. The waitress was nice but pushy. She took some things personally but it wasn't towards her. As a public server never, ever take things personally just let it go and smile. read more

My family and I went to cafe de Manuel expecting to get seated and all the regular stuff that most restaurants usually do weather that be giving us our menus as we are being seated and so on.. so we get seated , the table is not well cleaned at all it wasn't a big deal since it was only a few spots of food. We're waiting to get menus and to be asked what we want to drink it was about 15 minutes before we got the menus (we had to ask) then after we got the menus we waited another 5 minutes till we got asked what we would have to drink. We tell him our drinks he messed the drinks up so we asked to fix it very nicely. Then we waited for awhile to get our food orders in, we got them in but we waited for an hour all together the we finally decided just to get our food to go , and ended up getting food poisoning from it. Will not be going back. 10/10 would NOT. Recommend. read more

We went there on July 9. A party of 14 for a surprise birthday lunch for my mother. When my mother walked in the family and all the employees broke out singing happy birthday. The food was fast, hot and excellent. They even moved the table to play photographer for us. Highly recommend. Stopped by with my family for lunch and I thought this place was pretty good. We ordered a combo plate with tamale, enchiladas, and chile rellenos; we also got a chimichanga and carne asada gorditas. Rice and beans were excellent which is a must for Mexican food and the rest of the items were good. The tamales were just okay, the enchiladas were good and I really enjoyed the chile rellenos. The gorditas, which you can think of a thick corn tortilla that is stuffed with meat like a pita sandwich, was good. The gordita shell was great and tasted fresh but the carne asada meat was a little under seasoned in my opinion. Parking seemed a little limited and this place is easy to pass by and miss. It was clean inside and the interior is a bit old. Our waitress was awesome and welcoming. In the end, it was a good meal and I will come back to try other dishes read more

The owner is very rude and food was average. My chimichanga specifically was extremely salty. It tasted like pure salt, I didn't eat it.

Eating at Manuel's makes me feel like a boa constructor that just swallowed a barbell. I mean that in the nicest possible way. Manuel's is comfortingly chintzy, with dollar store Spanish decor like plastic chili peppers mingling with paintings of bullfighters. The three piece band is a nice touch and elevates Manuel's above other Mexican restaurants. The guys did their very best to liven up musical clichés like "La Cucaracha" to the mostly older clientele. The servers were all very friendly. The food was freshly made and delish, and not greasy at all... not even the deep fried cherry burrito. Get this dish with a side of deep fried ice cream, and you've got a meal sized dessert. The downside? I'll be laying on the floor, inert, for the next several days. read more

They had a buffet when I came here for lunch. Good selection - my favorite was the red chile beef. There wasn't as much flavor as I was expecting, so I dock one star for that. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive, though the restaurant was far from full. The best part was that the buffet includes guacamole - that can cost up to $3 on the East Coast! read more
