What a great spot! I'm always looking for a good sandwich spot and seems I've found it! They have so many great choices of different types of sandwiches (including banh mi) as well as a great drink menu! I stopped by for lunch and while the place was busy, I was able to walk right up and order without a line. They were very courteous and welcoming. I placed my order and it was delivered to my table within 5 minutes. Here's what I tried this time: Chinese BBQ pork Banh Mi Iced Matcha Latte The bread was perfectly toasted, crispy and soft at the same time. The sandwich had the perfect amount of goodies inside and the flavors were delish! They have seating both indoor and outdoor however many tables were only for 2 people with a few that have 3-4 possible. Parking was easy as they are in a shopping center. The new group of people are just as friendly as the previous people who made it through the pandemic in Manteca but have moved. There have been several owners since I've been in town almost ten years. The VietNamese Iced Coffee is always the best you can find in town. The previous time I was here, I had them add a bit of white mocha, which was interesting. I got the Shrimp Burger today, with fruit cocktail. It was pretty much perfect. Prices have changed a bit and I was a little surprised at the final total, but I will wait a while before another such purchase. It's about 1.75 miles' walk to this restaurant. I wasn't feeling my best and one of the staff hurriedly cleared the staff table for me, so that I could sit. Later, someone was coughing and another person rushed water to that woman. When you go somewhere else, they look at such people and say to each other "I wish they'd stop coughing. They'd better not make me sick." or some such. These people care about people, though. We found a wonderful hidden gem here in Manteca. While driving through and needing a place to kill some time and have lunch, I looked up the highest rated lunch spots in town and Café Aroma was top on the Yelp list. It was a few miles out of the way off the freeway but well worth it. They have a ton of choices of sandwiches and salads as well as Vietnamese Vermicelli Bowls. They also have all the drinks coffee, tea and even boba drinks. I chose the tri tip mánh mì sandwich and hubby had the Thanksgiving Day sandwich both came out hot and delicious. I also ordered a black milk tea with boba at 25% sweet and it was perfect. I can never turn down a boba tea! Come check them out they really know their stuff. They have some inside and outside eating space and we were lucky to get a table inside so we stayed and enjoyed ourselves. Great sandwiches for an even better price. Sweetest staff ever! Totally worth checking out Café Aroma. Made a pit stop here for lunch. We had luckily beat the late lunch crowd on Saturday afternoon. They have a mix of American and Vietnamese cuisine. I shared half of the turkey club and roast beef sandwich with my friend. Both were the perfect size, quality ingredients, well toasted and really tasty! It also comes with a side, either fruit, Mac salad or potato salad. The Mac salad was ok, the sandwich was the star of the show. The interior isn't great for groups bigger than 4. Overall, would totally recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

Had this place book marked for a while, with their limited hours I finally made it there today. Nice family run business, great selection of sandwiches including Banh Mi sandwiches. We decided to give both a try and was impressed with the detail and attention in making the sandwiches, they weren't just tossed and everything was very fresh. They also don't skimp, there was lots of veggies & meat in our Banh Mi. It did take a good 10-15 min to get our sandwiches so plan for it or call in your order for pickup. Got the Hot Torta Supreme with chicken and I normally like pesto but the flavor of red onions and pesto tasted off to me. Removed the red onions which were super fresh and plentiful and liked the taste better. You can also order espresso drinks, Vietnamese coffee and boba drinks. Prices good too, $20 which included a tip out the door for two large sandwiches. Both the Hubbs and I only ate half our sandwiches. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted to try their vermicelli noodle bowls and bahn mi sandwiches. The bread for the bahn mi was really good, I thought it elevated it beyond a typical bahn mi sandwich. I absolutely love to eat here for their Vietnamese Style Chicken sandwich. I was born and raised in SF so expectations are high. This place is a definite win. It's the best I tasted in the valley. I again like their bobba. They make their avocado smoothie with real avocado, not powder. The bad part is that they run out of the chicken quickly because they are so good. They also don't open on Sunday's which is a "minus" for me since Sunday is the day I don't like to cook. Other than that, get in early if you want to Teri this sandwich.
