Some time ago they went from being that baby brother of "PM och vänner" who served proper barista coffe, pizzas and cute cakes to a place who offers a more broad menu and sells bread who they bake themselves. A new world of levain, sourdough etc has opened up for the small but yet curious town Växjö. I tried their ice coffe, which they to my relief don't try and call frappé (cause a frappé is not based on milk). The ice coffe was good and the sour dough bread I bought was extremely good! -a must for breakfast tomorrow. Lovely ambiance not to be missed when here!

There is an outdoor seated area but you do need to go into the shop and purchase your items first. The staff were helpful and introduced me to a new way to have hot chocolate made!!! Very interesting it was, although the milk could have been hotter but hey it was all good. They just need to tidy away cups/scraps of food from the outside area quicker as there were some very large birds swooping in to get the scraps and they did not seem to be bothered by us humans who were still sitting and eating/drinking. The complimentary wifi, as a traveler, is always a huge bonus. I am sure I will visit here again.

My parents split one little jug of coffee which came with milk and sugar on the side. Their kringlor or traditional ring - shaped baked item were very flavorful. Order and pay in the front and then sit inside and have your choices delivered by the staff. Very relaxing and smart system! Day-old bags of buns available for reasonable prices.

When having a lunch in Växjö, I can strongly recommend Kafe de Luxe at Sandgärdsgatan, which is…read moreparallel to Storgatan (main street) in this medium large town in the south of Sweden. We came here a Sunday and saw the brunch-menu outside and decided to go in and see what else they could offer. The place is a really cute hipster/retro joint with funny details and furnitures. You just have to love the interior design! However, the menu was very slim. They could only offer the brunch buffé, that by the look of it, was finished, as plates were empty and food was a big mess. We refrained from this a went for their Tarte Flambée (a pizza-like) dish. We were told that they don't sell any light product, which surprised all of us but we decided that it was just a "hipster-kinda-weird-go-ecological-thang" As there were the 3 of us visiting "Luxan"this day we had one Flambée each. One with mussels and tomato, one with bacon and mushrooms and the third with spinach and olives. OMG-they were soooo good!!!! Especially the one with bacon and mushrooms. One star down because of the slim menu to choose from.

Excellent atmosphere, delicious meals, and at an affordable price!…read more I was on vacation with my family and we stopped by Vexjö, and decided to get lunch at the "Fusion Burger" place, and I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, and that paired with their excellent outside setup made the experience even better. We were seated outside, in the rain, with thunder in the distance, and it was super cozy! And the food, don't even get me started on the food! Possibly one of the most greasy and tasty burgers I've ever had, and their fries really take the cake! I have never had better fries in my life! Do yourself a favor, and stop by if you're ever in Vexjö!
