Lucked into a great meal at this "collective"- had Moroccan Beef stew with pumpkin. 2nd person had Fish Skewers with lime basil salsa. Both perfect. Three- four salads, vaggies, potatoes rice included. Mostly organic, all prepared well. Games on shelves and lots of 20- somethings playing Yahtzee, etc but all ages were here. read more

My favorite place in Nijmegen. I have been there several times and I am always very happy about the food, the friendly people working there, and the great atmosphere. This place also serves only ecological food (and most drinks) and has a very large selection for vegetarians! read more

Specialties

Café de Plak bestaat al 40 jaar en is vooral beroemd vanwege het 'kaasgehakt'. Naast deze vegetarische 'kaasbal' is er een ruime keuze uit vegetarische, vis- en vleesgerechten, die iedere dag worden geserveerd met overheerlijke handgesneden frites, twee verse salades en warme groente. Vers, verantwoord en betaalbaar; gewoon lekker eten in een ongedwongen sfeer. Dáarom is het bij De Plak alle dagen lekker druk. Overdag kun je bij Café de Plak terecht voor een warme lunch; variërend van tosti tot uitsmijter en van soep tot vegetarische burger; heerlijke koffie, taart en dagverse soep. Berucht is de Plak vanwege haar feesten in de kelder, die je ook kunt afhuren als je zelf een feest wilt geven. De Plak is er trots op een collectief te zijn: er is geen baas, alle medewerkers dragen een steentje bij aan de bedrijfsvoering en beslissingen worden democratisch genomen. Lunchen is mogelijk van 12:00 tot 16:00 uur, 's avonds is onze keuken geopend van 17:30 tot 21:30 uur. Wil je iemand een etentje kado doen? Dat kan met onze eetbonnen. Reserveren kan alleen voor groepen (10 tot 30 personen) in de speciaal daarvoor bestemde ruimte in de kelder.
