It was really delicious! The people working there looked and acted really stoned but I guess that's just the vegetarian community. Surprisingly, only the potato was hot and the rest was rather cold. There seemed to be endless creations in vegetarian delicacies, both cold and hot, savory and sweet, that covered several long shelves. Once you have put your food you want on your plate you go up to the register and they weigh your plate. Depending on the weight is how much you pay. The service is fast and helpful. It is usually pretty full there, but totally worth going. Even my four year old picky eater found something to eat there.

The ingredients are listed in German, still if in doubt it's safer to ask the staff anyway. You pay 1,55EUR/100g for everything with some exceptions - depending on the day, noodles with sauce or potato pancakes with apple sauce are only 1,25EUR/100g - make sure to use a different plate for these so they can be weighed separately at the checkout. There is also a lunch menu from 12-2 o'clock that is not weighed and costs about 6EUR per portion. The best thing about the place is that is offers a huge variety of vegetables, salads, dishes and dressings - they also have nice desserts incl. gluten-free ice cream and all sorts of cake. They are all well cooked and sometimes even spicy. Again they don't offer any meat, it's purely vegetarian - some dishes are even vegan (if marked so). Downside is the price as well as the location, because the interior is not very appealing, furniture seems cheap or randomly chosen at best. Also there's no A/C even though the sun is shining through several windows in the ceiling. The staff is very unprofessional though helpful if asked for help. Also everything is very clean and tidy, which is nice. Good thing is also that it's not very formal, anyone eats there, students, working people, old people - just anyone. Still even though the food is good, it would be nice if they renovated the place, replaced the furniture and got some A/C.

This place is popular, for good reason. The food is fresh and really high-end. It's all vegetarian, so I was a little overwhelmed by the plethora of options. The menu is also super diverse, featuring cuisines from all around the world. I started with a Radler, and honestly, it was one of the best I've had in Germany-- sweet, but not too sweet, and really refreshing. My dining partner and I started with potato dishes (sweet potato fries and patatas brava) which came with a variety of sauces-- the aioli and mango sauces were our favorites. I went with the potato gratin, which was plated in a very lovely way with edible flowers. It tasted as good as it looked. We went with a chocolate pudding and tiramisu for dessert, and both were tasty as expected. The portions are small and on the pricer side, but the food is still very filling and executed extremely well. Service was a bit on the slow side because the kitchen was very busy, but we didn't mind. This kind of food and atmosphere you definitely want to savor. I chose the grilled cheese with potatoes and sauces. The orange and yellow sauces were beautifully arranged on the plate, but the taste was less interesting and rather bland. Others at the table had the fried tofu in the peanut butter sauce which was very good but a bit small for a dinner entree. Our dessert was figs with cardamom and mango ice cream. Again it was beautiful and unusual but the combo of the flavors were not well paired. That said I would go again and try other things on the menu... They certainly offered many interestingly designed foods for veggie lovin' people. The outdoor seating was really nice, as were the waiters!
