Mueller is further away, but I have all day to shop, and plan, and get my groceries for the week. Something about this location that just has an energy about it. I feel so much better walking around. The people, the venders, and the dogs. My gosh there are so many dogs. I'm a dog person, and they know it. I have dogs walking up to me. And of course I have to talk to them. Venders are great, you have such a variety of prepared food. Love the dumplings. But there is so much more. Veggies. Fruits, canned goods, baked goods, meats, cheese, eggs, pasta, raw milk. I mean it's just a lot of greatness. Love supporting famers and small businesses. Coming out in the community, and just feeling a connection. Literally recharges me. It's been a draining week, and the market was my therapy today.

There's lots of open air and you are required to wash your hands at the station before entering. Almost every vendor has their own water dispenser with soap. There were no more than ten customers shopping in the market. It's a great place to buy essential vegetables during lockdown, but I didn't see any fruit, hand lotion, or artisan soap for sale this time. I will be coming again to avoid large crowds at HEB and Costco.

I love growing my own veggies but my backyard garden is limited and knowing where my veggies come from is becoming increasingly more important to me. I could care diddly squat if my kumquat is organic or not. What is important to me is that my produce was harvested locally within a day or so before I eat it. Two Happy Children set up booths at all the local farmers markets and right now their carrots and brussel sprouts are as sweet as they get!
