This is my best friends experience with this company…read more.. Leading up to the wedding I created a multiple and VERY DETAILED list of shots I wanted. I also warned her that the entire occasion would be dimly lit and that if she did not have experience shooting in the dark, she needed to practice. Obviously, that went in one ear and out the other When she sent me the remaining photos (after the sneak peak) I realized that most of the half decent photos had been used in the sneak peek and all of the ceremony and reception photos were blurry beyond belief. A lot of important photos had been taken while people were in the middle of speaking which resulted in the subject having a strange look on their face. There are no photos of my husband and mother in law's dance, my parent's dance or my elderly grandparent's dance, none of us exchanging rings, and more. She didn't take any pictures that I did not specifically ask for except for one of our son's mismatched socks, despite the fact that I specifically asked for many candid photos. There are NO photos of the reception decor. She says she took them but lost them. There are also multiple photos we remember taking that were not included. As I listed photos that were missing and demanded the RAW files, I was ignored until I told her that I would just start writing reviews if she wasn't going to do anything to make this right. Of course, she responded to that and told me she was so sorry and never represented herself as a professional (not true)... bla bla bla... But she did she say she would send me the RAW files that night. A RAW file is a very large file that your camera creates and stores all sorts of different data. They are very easy to manipulate and you can take a bad photo and make it into something that could at least be shared without embarrassment. A jpeg is a file that is processed inside your camera. Once a jpg is spat out of the camera, there is not much you can do to change it. The jpeg file only contains the photo with the parameters you set on your camera. Back to the story.... I received an email with 160 Google Drive attachments. And, alas, every one of them was a jpeg. I immediately responded with, "RAW is a file extension like JPG PNG or TIFF ... did you shoot the whole wedding in JPG?" The next morning around 8 am I said, "They could also be .DSC or if you have any files with the same file numbers as the jpegs but maybe your computer doesn't recognize? The few I inspected are only like 1000x750 pixels which can't be printed larger than like a 4x6 and that's gonna be like 200ppi... which isn't very good. I don't know what we are gonna do. I planned on having several canvases printed to showcase in my home and giving some larger prints away as gifts." and "I also can't open any of the files you emailed me. It says I don't have access, which I think I requested but hasn't been granted at this point." (because she sent the Google Drive files and restricted my access. No. Response. All. Day. So I texted her, "I replied to your email last night and again this morning and am really starting to lose my patience. Can you please address the fact that you said you would send me the RAW photos and instead only sent jpegs that I still cannot access?" She responded to my email telling me that she is sorry. She didn't photograph the wedding in RAW (AFTER telling me she would send RAW files) but doesn't appreciate my rude tone and would send me a CD. My BIGGEST concern here is that she told me she would send the RAW files (see receipts in the attached photo) and didn't take the photos in RAW at all. Obviously, she assumed that RAW meant unedited jpegs. Not only that but, ALL of my photos around 1000x750 pixels. A 4x6 should be 800x1200 pixels. That's BIGGER than the photos she gave me. I can print a 4x6 at a mediocre resolution and that's IF I decide to print one that is not terribly blurry. And, for the record, I was trying really hard to be nice and professional when I communicated with her, even though I was frustrated beyond belief.
