The work completed was minimal, failed multiple inspections, and left me with deficiencies to fix at my own cost. Framing and finishing had to be redone by other trades, meaning I essentially paid twice for the same work. Even basic details -- like installing OSB boards to line up with existing walls -- were done incorrectly and never corrected. The vapour barrier failed inspection twice. Communication was poor and often contradictory. I was told one thing, only to later find the opposite was true. Despite repeated requests, I was never provided receipts, wage records, or a proper breakdown of where my deposit was spent. I was left with an unfinished project and a large portion of my deposit unaccounted for. Workers openly admitted they weren't paid properly, were pulled from job to job without materials or clear plans, and often left early. This resulted in wasted time, higher costs, and long delays. I've had to send formal demand letters, file complaints with consumer protection agencies, and consider legal action to try to recover my money. This caused unnecessary financial loss, stress, and major project delays. Based on my experience, I strongly caution anyone considering this company: - Get everything in writing - Don't advance large deposits without receipts - Verify inspection records before paying Many of their positive reviews appear to come from staff, not customers. It didn't go particularly well, here are the highlights: - The project was marred with scheduling snafus. Even at the beginning of the project, we agreed on times, made ourselves, and no one to showed up. This happened in the estimating of the project, and while the interior was being rebuilt. - The work quality was rough around the edges, with the roof line now being noticeably less level than it was before the repair; repeated call backs over cracked drywall, holes, ledges, and gaps (especially around the corners); minor imperfections throughout (such as water lines clamped weird etc.) - During the project, unforeseen issues arose. Such as, the hood vent of our water heater was dislodged and damaged to the point that it wasn't venting to the outside (which I replaced and repaired myself) and the electrical was cut for the lighting in the room. - The electrical repair was one of our biggest concerns not only because it caused the crew to be called out for an additional two days, but also because the repair was not completed by an electrician Through multiple conversations, the crew listened and understood where we were coming from and could tell that we weren't particularly happy. They attempted to fix the issues that we brought up. This included doing a bit of the drywall mudding and taping (that was above and beyond the original scope of work) and gave us a 5% discount. They took responsibility and accountability, which is good, but still leaves a bad taste in the mouth, you know

They would order the wrong materials, not show up at appointed time (or at all), leave a huge mess, leave work partially completed, etc. Pretty much everything you would expect a contractor not to do. I don't want to even think about how much their idiotic ways cost me in additional heating bills when the "2 week job" to be finished in summer ended up lasting all the way until the end of the following summer! These guys may be the cheapest, but you will end up paying for it!
