He takes his time and really focuses on your knots and problem areas. Mine happen to be along side and below my shoulder blades. Knots that the previous masseuse couldn't move...no match for Carlos. He worked muscles on every inch of me from my toes to my palms and fingers. My calves, my neck and everything in between. At 12 AM, after hours of discomfort, I had to personally go to the front desk, where I was told at that late hour that I'd need to move rooms. This should have been addressed much earlier in the day. The front desk staff showed little empathy or accountability, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. I travel frequently and have stayed in properties around the world this was among the worst customer service experiences I've encountered. Deserving a 1 star. I would strongly urge management to review this incident, as the current level of service does not reflect the pricing for this hotel or reputation of a five-star establishment. They offered me same day options so I booked an evening session so we could go to dinner after. Due to all of the rain there were huge puddles so it made the route longer than expected. They were super patient as we arrive 5-10 mins late and were waiting for us outside. After arriving, they walked us into the house which we couldn't see too well since it was dark but looked like a tranquil space to enjoy a spa. They brought us upstairs where we undressed and laid on the massage beds. My masseuse asked for my preference but I don't think my partners did. I think he would have preferred a most intense massage but overall I think it was a good add to the day. Would recommend telling them what you want to be clear.
