Ordered a hundred pound pig for Christmas a week in advance! As paid for and and agreed we went to pick the Pig up on Christmas Eve! So we went and waited for over four hours, but they had no pig! After four hours and some negotiation Cabritos gave us a 150 pound pig, which was too big for our grill! So we cut it in half and started the roasting process! My family had come here since I was young and now I'm the one bringing my family. The tacos de barbacoa de chivo are the best! Don't mind the smell, it obviously smells like a meat market. They treat you well, you just have to understand that the noise there is pretty loud so you do have to make yourself heard. read more

I went to Cabritos Garza because I wanted to make some cabrito (baby goat) on the grill this week. I knew I could get it fresh there. They have a little dining area there for the different types of meat they slaughter there but at the time it was breakfast. So so happy I went early in the morning. I had three tacos made with fresh corn tortillas of lamb, beef head, and beef tripe. At my request they added chopped onions and cilantro. The green and red hot sauces were delicious. My only complaint is that they didn't have some regular size coffee and salt and pepper shakers at the table. They still get an "A". As for my cabrito, the young man who waited on me asked what I wanted and being a novice at making cabrito on the grill I said a couple of small pieces to see if I can do it right like many of the restaurants I've had it in. He took me to the cooler and showed me around so I could pick what I wanted. What a great butcher he was. This is a great go to place for fresh meats. It gets no fresher. read more

The people are so rude here and they really do treat you like your asking for free stuff and talk to you very rudely. Don't give them your business. I went to get some chicken and no one was back there, you have to go through all the way through the area and just yell at the top of your lungs and still, no one can hear you. On Tuesday 30th November 2021 I called to inform that I'll be there in about 20mins since I was held in traffic and there were to close in 40mins .they said it's okay I can come,I arrived in 15mins but they refused to serve me not only that they were very rude and unprofessional. I come every few months to stock up on meat products and paultry. I get my live hen killed, cleaned, cut and bagged. Most général meats like goat, mutton, lamb, cow, sheep is here. They are cheaper than grocery store and often the animal has just been killed. You don't have to buy frozen if you don't want, just ask when each type of animal will be killed. Know what you want, what animal parts and they will tell you if it's available. read more

I can't believe that this place has a perfect rating, HOW????. We went here to buy a cabrito because a friend recommended it to us but we never expected the chaos. I totally understand is the holidays and everywhere we go is going to be shit packed. This is where good management and customer service comes in. Any establishment can sale good merchandise, what distinguishes one from the other is the way customers are managed. We arrived and the parking situation is total chaos. Is people basically parked wherever they fucking feel like it. Ok, we parked, where ever I felt like it because their is no market spaces anywhere. We then walked inside and that was a total mess. I know for a fact that what we saw was about 10 city violations starting with the amount of people that were inside that small place. Ok so we went to buy a cabrito so we proceed to ask a security guard standing by the register what to do. I would like to think this was a security guard and not Houston police because I want to believe that a police officer wouldn't allow this to happen. Anyways back to my experience. He gave us a number and we just kind of hurded around like cattle ready to be put out to pasture by the gate.....lol lol. There was no order whatsoever, there was no organization of any kind. People that worked there have to kind of scream and talk loudly over everybody to even do their job. We waited and waited and waited for our turn as I saw people just get in front of us and walk like list sheep through the establishment. After a while I decided to get a little clarification and ask one of the girls how this mess worked. She responded she didn't know what number was next she was just there to ask if anybody needed chickens.....lol lol. I then asked a guy that came to the crowd to ask who was next what was the deal and he explained to me that they went from 1 to 100 and then started again. Which left me with more questions than answers because I have clearly heard numbers being called in the 400's and 500's. Anyways we waited some more until our turn came up and we asked for our cabrito (baby goat) and followed the guy into some more chaos to the freezer. We picked what we wanted and proceeded to head over to the register. I stopped by the taqueria because I was interested in purchasing some Barbacoa as well for breakfast but one of the ladies there rudly told me that they were out. Anyways I found it weird as I clearly saw some in front of me. I have had enough of the place so I decided to proceed to pay. The register was completely blocked by people waiting and I had to scream for them to let me by. Again this is with the " security guard " standing right by the register. I paid and we left. I can only say never again. There isn't any event in my life that would be worth for me to have to go through that chaos again. Is a real shame because is a good place and the merchandise they sale looks good (We haven't cooked it yet) but it really needs better managment. If they want to hire me to give them a couple of ideas on how to handle the amount of people they receive I'm open to the invitation. As I stood there looking at the chaos I had so many ideas in my head that would organize everything......jajaja. I'm an organization freak and places like this I don't understand. Hope they get my message and do something about it because is not ok to treat your cattle and the humans the same way....lol lol read more

I'm a big fan of Mexico's Cabrito's a Las Brasas, and have been looking for restaurants with this offering. I had high hopes for this place given the high ratings. Sadly, it was very poor, I tried the Carbrito plate, it was stewed and not good. The restaurant was extremely small with 2 white Costco bench tables. What killed it for me was the very strong bad smell of raw meat and bleach all over. Too many areas to list in need of improvements. read more
