On arrival we found the parking situation confusing. We drove into where it said parking but when we got to the entrance to the multilevel park there was a sign saying staff only. Tres confusing. Especially when your in a bit of a panic. We turned around and parked on the street. It wouldn't normally have been a big deal but in the circumstances it wasn't great. Furthermore we found it a little confusing to get in. Lots of closed doors that you needed to ring the bell to get into. We went in the wrong door cause the right door indicated that it was for ambulances. Once in the staff were caring, efficient and friendly. I felt I was being listened to and that they actually cared about me. I've been in emergency rooms before and they were way more chaotic than this one. I was taken straight into a cubical, only had to wait an hour and a half. We were out of there in two hour. However before electing this as your go to emergency room you should be aware that admission is $480 after 9.30pm. Before any doctors fees or costs of procedures and regardless of private health insurance. You have the option of paying up front or being billed. They even offer payment plans. Even so I found this amount excessive. My admittance was less than a week ago so I'm still waiting for the bill ... And completly dreading discovering my the total amount owed! read more
