Kids Burrito Chicken

I placed an online order that was supposed to be ready at a specific time, but it wasn't available until about 15 minutes later. When I arrived, the pickup area was chaotic with at least 10 other people waiting, which already made the experience frustrating. I tried to overlook that, assuming the food would make up for the delay but it didn't. Both kids meals were extremely disappointing. They were poorly portioned (literally only a few beans) and the burritos were much smaller than usual, with barely any filling. It's honestly amazing how small the burritos were and that they couldn't even manage to wrap them properly. I understand kids meals aren't meant to be large, but I've ordered this exact item many times before and it's always been satisfying--this time it was noticeably skimped. To make matters worse, by the time I got home and realized how bad it was, the restaurant had already closed, so I couldn't go back to have it fixed. I don't usually eat out and had been looking forward to this as a treat, which made the experience even more disappointing. I hope this was just an off night, but the quality and portions were far below what I've come to expect.

10/10. I loved the tacos with the cream I just love crema on tacos! Each taco had its own flavor and you can add your choice of toppings. The green tortilla was my fav! I'd recommend that one if you're going for just one. Parking lot can get packed! Spoke to staff and they were very friendly. But, there is street parking available. Also apparently it's slower Monday-Thursday. Friday and Saturday are the busiest and Sundays starts to slow back down. It's in West Campus so expect a lot of uni students going for late night bites. I also recommend dining outside, it's under roof and fans are outside.

For a quick bite, this place exceeded my expectations! I was looking for a good Baja style fish taco and this place delivered. We got lucky because the fish was fresh out of the fryer and so crispy. We sat outside with our dog and it was clean and relaxing space. The service was good and food got our very quick. The queso isn't anything special but the homemade chips were delicious. I will definitely be back next time a craving hits for fish tacos.

This spot was PACKED! They did a really nice job keeping the line moving. This location is close to campus so there's lots of students. There is indoor and shaded outdoor seating. The vibes are super fun vw can/surfer esque. In concept this is very similar to chipotle but so much better in delivery! You can get tacos, burritos, bowls, salads and nachos. You can build your own or order off 10 pre built options. It's very loud so it's nice to do the pre built options. They make all the tortillas fresh and in front you which is super fun. The burritos are HUGE! For chips and salsa you get a choice or red or green salsa. I ordered the #10 burrito (veggies) and loved it. The red salsa was delicious (tasted like medium spice) and the chips are a thicker denser flour style which I really liked! They are not a GF facility but do have GF tortillas and chips if you're intolerant but not allergic.

Cabo Bob's or Babo Cob's? Heh, in my culture, the word "Babo" means dimwitted fool! So the question of the hour: was this burrito Cabo or Babo?!? Well, first off, I ordered a burrito but if you look at the picture attached below, it looks like a loaf of bread! EGAD! I thought they swindled me into ordering a loaf of bread! Fortunately, it was just the outer exterior of the flavorlicious cilantro and tomatillo tortilla! What a blast! My friend and I were having a competition of who can finish the burrito in the least amount of bites. I finished the burrito in 10 bites, triumphantly defeating my friend who took 10.5-11 bites, but my sore loser fibbing friend (Caleb) kept claiming it was 10.5 bites so I had to teach him a lesson on what happens to liars/haters/babos. (I started making gagging noises while he was eating so he started gagging, but then his gagging made me nauseous and so I started actually gagging and then it started a positive feedback loop of the two of us gagging at each other). Burrito was alright, but it was a tad bit lacking in flavor. My Babo friend Caleb was yapping about some "I wish Cabo would make a Dallas location" (we were at the Austin location) but honestly, they can stay in Austin!!! (Jk jk come to Dallas pwease!) 4 stars!

Cabo Bobs is 100000% the place to go for fresh fajita bowls or homemade sweet tea. The atmosphere feels authentic and fresh to be around. Amazing patio area and great view of the austin traffic ... very cool! There are alot of birds near this location so if your friend frequently finds herself getting pooped on by birds then reconsider sitting outside. Overall lovely space and spectacular flavors. Baja beans are out of this world smoky and delectable fr fr !

Chicken Burrito

First time I've had Cabo Bob but I've heard people from Austin and Houston raving about how good and big the burritos are. I decided to check it out when I visited to Austin. I ordered the chicken burrito for pick-up because I heard it gets pretty busy during the dinner rush hour. I made the right decision and recommend pick-up order if you don't want to wait on the weekend during rush hours. The line went out the door when I got there around 6pm. The burrito was massive and could be considered 2 serving but it tasted very good for $11! Would recommend if you're in the area and looking for a quick, cheap meal.

I love Cabo Bob's so much!! Definitely not my first time here but it was my first time at this location so I figured I'd leave a review. Every Cabo Bob's I have been to is super consistent and so fresh. I would pick this over Chipotle any day with their fresh homemade tortillas and amazing ingredients. I made a chicken rice bowl this time but you seriously can't go wrong ordering anything here. Service is always fantastic with nice employees and this location is super cute with great outdoor seating and parking!

Cabo Bob's is a good staple restaurant for students! It tastes great, quantity is huge, and it's pretty cheap. I forgot to take a photo of my burrito, but it was ginormous - it was 2 meals for me. The shredded pork, grilled chicken, and crispy fish are delicious choices of protein, and you can choose between 2 types of tortillas. The line can be really long, especially during the weekends, but if you're able to go during a weekday, it's really delicious! There's a lot of seating, inside and out, but it can be loud, especially if it's busy.

A coworker insisted Cabo Bob's was better than Chipotle, so I finally gave it a try. The portion was good, but the chicken has a microwave taste, and the worst part is I almost ate a produce sticker! I'm so grossed out.

Cabo Bobs is a UT classic and safe to stay I've been sleeping on it. After making a long trek in the cold and rain, we arrived on a Saturday night and the line ran outside the door. Thankfully it moved fast. Except fast dining for ambiance- clean but casual. I made my own bowl and got the crispy fish as my protein. Absolutely loved it! Everything was a powerful explosion of flavors and went down easy. I'd definitely recommend their mango pico and chipotle crema.

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average

So we were thinking of tacos or Mexican food and my daughter suggested this spot as she had come here with some friends and really enjoyed their sopecitos. I had never had a sopecito! What is that! So we had to try... We were lucky to arrive at the right time (9 pm!) where we got their last table!! Make reservations or something because this is another one of those places that fills up! So- we were taken care of immediately: chips and some very hot salsas were set on the table while we chose. They menu is in QR code format, but we asked and got paper menus as well. Well I got the chicken sopecitos , my daughter got the pork ones and my partner got the meat tacos. Everything was delicious, the food arrived promptly, the portion size was perfect and bountiful and everything was super enjoyable. I really enjoyed trying some New Mexican favorites. Next time I will try some other delicacies since I always get tacos tacos burritos or quesadillas: time for some new items on the menu! Enjoy!
