Two weeks ago my search began for a window washing and cleaning company. There were 5 quotes that came in. Carl A. Appleby was the best quote. They just came today and did all the 19 windows, two of the skylights weren't done because they were not included in the price, however, they did a fantastic job on all the windows. Now I can seat at the kitchen table and see my hanging baskets full of flowers. They came on time, showed me courtesy and good manners. Definitely would recommend CA windows to anyone! I had a crazy schedule and they were more then flexible with working with me to get it completed ASAP. All the windows and tracks look phenomenal! Very clean and practical brand new. One window had very very bad hard water deposits on it, they warned me that they couldn't get them totally clear. After seeing the end result I was more then pleased with how well they were able to get the hard water off. I do feel like they went above and beyond on cleaning! My windows and screens and solar panels are sparkling clean again. The guys also cleaned out all the frames and tracks, and wiped off the dust on my garage doors and front doors. In the past, I tried to clean the windows myself but let them go for too long, and the dirt and hard water stains built up to the point where they were impossible to completely remove. Our Pella windows open up to allow access to the inside of the windows between the panes of glass (where the blinds are located). Most window cleaners will not clean the inside of the windows because of the risk of breaking the mechanism. Carl was willing to work on these windows, and furthermore was willing to adjust his schedule in order to fit in this job which had a hard deadline. I asked for a quote for gutter cleaning from another company. Yelp sent messages to six companies. Carl from CA Window Cleaning was the first to respond. He seemed knowledgeable when I talked to him on the phone. His bid seemed very reasonable. Three other companies submitted bids for about 60% of Carl's quote. That scared me away from them because I knew the job was fairly large and worth a lot more than what they quoted. The company I originally wanted the quote from finally got back to me two days later and his quote was a little higher than Carl's quote. I would have felt comfortable hiring him but Carl seemed more interested in my job and, honestly, I had already set a date with Carl. Carl and his crew were punctual. They got right to work after Carl explained how the job would be done. They worked hard and thoroughly as my gutters had not been cleaned in a decade or more. Carl had to amend the bid due to some excess labor involved which I was fine with. I actually gave him a little more, matching the company with the highest bid. It was a fair price. Nothing was damaged in the process and no one was injured. I feel confident my gutters will flow well in the next heavy rainstorm. Four of the 5 replied really quick and give me estimate through email. Sadly the original one did not respond. After reviewing all 4 estimates, I chose C A based on the reviews here. The price is in the middle of the 4. The technician came early than scheduled and finished without supervision. He even repaired a gutter for me. When he arrived, I asked him a general question of exterior window cleaning. At the end of the day, the owner responded back with an estimate. I will consider later this year when I have the budget. Went searching for a window washing co on YELP and found Carl and his great crew. First I must say that I phoned and spoke directly with Carl who was originally going to schedule me a few days out.
