Such a cozy, authentic Vietnamese cafe. The owner is such a sweet, welcoming person-- I always feel at home here. I get the ca phe sua frappe, which is the ice-blended version of Vietnamese coffee. It packs a punch while still being delicious. There is wifi, seating, and charging perfect for students or workers who want a relaxing place to be productive in. Truly a gem!

Ambiance: (3/5) I liked that there were different types of seats, but the seats we sat on were not very comfortable, so this would be a hard place to work for a while. The table was also really small so it was hard to fit two laptops. Price: (4/5) Prices seem average for the area. Food: (4/5) I enjoyed the coffee. I will say it was a bit hard to figure out the menu, so I felt like I missed some of the options I could have tried. Service: (5/5) Service is great.

I love this place so much that I don't want others to come here. But I love it so much that I want it to do well, so... the food is delicious, the coffee is on point, the service is personal and polite, the ambiance is literally worth treasuring. It feels like someone has welcomed you into their living room. Coffee, tea, banh mi and more. The menu is not overwhelmingly long like some other places, and every drink and plate is executed with care. Woman-run, small family business. Truly a community gem!

On a recent visit to the Webster/Clear Lake area, I made it a point to visit Ca Phê Phin. I am a lover of Vietnamese cuisine and this place has two of my favorites which is bánh mì and cà phê sữa đá. I rolled up and there was a crowd of people out front chilling, drinking coffee, smoking and taking photos, which I thought was really cool. I'm always glad to pull up to a place and see people enjoying themselves. I walked in and, the vibe of this place blew me away. Whoever decorated this small shop used every inch of what they had to bring it to life. Everything in here except maybe the seating shouted Vietnamese culture. I just wanted to walk around and look at the books, paintings and other decorations. Ordering was straightforward. The attendant was patient but direct. I ordered the classic Vietnamese bánh mì, which is essentially their version of bánh mì đặc biệt. I also ordered the Pink Salt Vietnamese Coffee. The bánh mì was pretty good. It wasn't as packed as I would normally expect but it wasn't egregious. I had a question about putting the patê on the side but was told they couldn't do it. No worries, I love patê, so I was going to eat it either way but I did think it was odd that they couldn't make one without it already spread on the bánh mì. I ate the bánh mì, patê and all and I thought it was really good. I've had a large number of bánh mì of all types and places. This one was not bad at all. I don't know why I do this but usually when I go to a new Vietnamese coffee shop, I stick either ca phê sữa đá before getting anything else there. This time I ventured out and ordered a Pink Salt Vietnamese Coffee. Maybe because I had been on a ca phê muối trip lately. I thought this was going to be a ca phê muối and maybe I should have asked more questions. I tasted only the slightest hint of salt. To my knowledge, my sodium levels are okay but if they were high, this definitely helped balance it out. The drink was still good but I didn't taste the salt. If anything it tasted sweeter than expected as the bitter coffee taste I'm accustomed to did not come through either. All in all, the drink was good but not what I expected. The ice was a bit heavy as well. This place is very cool. You can sit here and socialize or study and get a drink or quick snack. The vibe is very casual and laid back. I think I'll return soon for a ca phê sữa đá and enjoy the vibe here.

Drinks: Not good. I'm sorry. Those were exceedingly watery Ca Phe Sua's. It had the faintest taste of the Coffee/Chicory that we all know is Vietnamese Coffee. This was sad. It tasted like American coffee that had been watered down. And the chai mixed coffee, that tasted like a Christmas cookie was mixed with the watery coffee. Not good. I'm not sure what kind of chai that was but it's not anything I've ever had and it did not mix well with the "coffee". I don't like giving bad reviews... Service: Service was the thing that gave it one of the stars. The lady who served me was extremely nice. Ambiance: This is what gave the other star. The inside is very homey and relaxed. I would love to sit in there and chill with a cup of good Ca Phe.

This is definitely a hole in the wall coffee/boba shop in the midst of Webster. It's nice little shop that fits the vibes of meeting someone to catch up, coffee date, or studying. There is a menu on a table when you walk in and also on the wall. I do think the menu on the wall could get a full clean and then rewrite the items on there or update it to something that may be easier to read or stand out. I didn't have much interaction with the worker but she seemed nice. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee with honey instead of condense milk (watching my sugar intake). It was good except I wish it had more coffee taste. Usually I could taste a strong coffee taste but that wasn't the case here. Still good though. I would come back and try other things and maybe one of their pastries. This place is a gem so check it out. Support the local.

Came to study with a friend and absolutely loved this little coffeeshop! The menu is pretty extensive but I decided to try the banh mi from their food options and it was awesome- toasted just the right amount and super tasty. I will have to come back to try some of the drinks. The cafe is decorated very nicely with little touches of Vietnam. Service was fast and the lady was so sweet!

Small, family owned business. Very peaceful and quiet- owners are soooo sweet. You will not regret studying, reading, or just meeting with friends here. Give them a try! (Strawberry fruit tea 10/10- only $4)

This little cafe is quaint and comfy. The owner was polite and friendly and I really enjoyed the ambience inside. I got the poached egg croissant and a blueberry yogurt smoothie. Very tasty and affordable. Will definitely be coming back again.

Came here right before the Space museum bc we all need coffee in our life. I love the idea of having a Vietnamese coffee cafe. It has your traditional vietnamese coffee with condense milk and the slow drip but with a hint of vanilla. Very unique. I got the lavender chai and it was delish. Not super sweet and not overly lavender. I love their unique twist on a coffee cafe. This makes it available for everyone to try something new but also familiar. I would love to see an egg coffee on their menu which is very popular in Vietnam. Sounds weird but tastes like tiramisu. Also I would love that the cafe is more open since there is only one worker when I went it, would show that someone is working and making the coffee fresh (like Starbucks) rather than an empty counter.

Loan Sharks, Card Sharks, contestants on Shark Tank, but nevertheless... Sharks. Sharks, I tell you. Adorable little place in the distant suburbs southeast of Houston, halfway to Galveston. Has good Vietnamese coffee and good Banh Mi sandwiches - and really great decor. The little old lady running the place is adorable - as is your mother (for very different reasons) during Netflix & Chill sessions (without the Netflix usually). Oh I Phegot that I wasn't supposed to tell you about that. There are many places to get these sandwiches and this type of Vietnamese iced coffee in the Houston area, which is a hotbed for Viet food and drink, but this one stands up to a lot of the other top choices. You will Ca Phe Phinish everything on your plate. When you come down to the South East Burbs of HTX, be sure to try this place, and the spectacular Spring Roll Express nearby, for the best of the Vietburbs. Now I have to pop out, but I'll be back in 2 Sharks of a Lamb's tail.

I love this place. I come here pretty regularly and the girls who work there know my (and my sisters' and friend's) orders for sure. I can't go a week without my iced vietnamese coffee (i get the #2) fix. I also love the banana green tea frappe, the hot mango tea, and pretty much everything else I've tried. My only gripe is the hours. I can typically only come here on the weekend since they aren't open past 5 or in the early mornings on weekdays and I have to work. Definitely a great coffee spot in the Clear Lake area. read more

Amongst all the fast food joints and American cuisine near the JSC area, this is where I go for some peace of mind during lunch time. Try reading one of their many books they have on their shelves. A con is that it's a bit expensive, but it's what you expect from a small quaint cafe like this. read more

I love love love local Coffee Shops! From Sycamore Grounds in Pasadena to Catalina Coffee in Houston; I love the coffee, the atmosphere and the people, I simply love coffee shops. I have to say this little Vietnamese coffee and tea house made it on my top 10 coffee house list. Vietnamese coffee may not be the american coffee I came to love, but this place definitely has one of the better if not THE BEST atmosphere in the whole Houston Area. The two employees definitely plays a role in the atmosphere, you can tell they take pride in what they do and truly appreciate the customers. read more

Simply walk through the door and you're whisked off to another world, as soft instrumentals play in the background and the ivy snakes it's way about the rustic Vietnamese themed interior. The delicate scent of coffee envelops you at the counter, and the diverse menu offers light teas, satisfying smoothies and robust coffee brews. They also offer a range of boba teas, much better than most of the boba-specific shops I've tried. This relaxing cafe is dangerously addictive and highly recommended. read more

This is by far the best coffee shop in Clear Lake where anything non-Starbucks is a rare find. Someone took a lot of trouble to get the interior just right. It would be a great place for a date or to read a book on a rainy day. I don't usually put sugar in my coffee so everything's a little sweet for me but it's super tasty. I've tried a Thai tea and a coffee and both were delicious. Really want to try the smoothies because they look amazing. I wish so much that they were open at night. I thought about giving them only 4 stars because, for me, to really be a perfect coffee shop, they should rescue me from ever having to go to Starbucks again. But that felt unnecessarily glass half full. But to the folks at Ca Phe Phin: Please consider longer hours. Please. You'd do a ton of business. read more

Their coffee is great but the bubble tea sucks. Every time I've gotten bubble tea, the tapioca came in chunks that were too big to fit though the straw, so my straw kept getting blocked and I couldn't consume the tapioca. Not only did it interfere with my ability to drink the tea, having to stop every couple sips and forcefully unclog the straw, but I couldn't consume the tapioca either without digging a spoon in there. Yuck. This is freaking bubble tea, get it right. Will not be coming back. read more

This is my all time favorite Vietnamese coffee spot. I drive across town to have a cup any day I get a chance. The employees are always so kind and gentle. Not one bad thing to say about them. The coffee is rich, smooth and delicious and when October rolls around they make THE BEST pumpkin puree I've ever had in my life. I'm drooling in June writing this. Can't wait. I've honestly never tried any of the food on the menu because I've usually eaten before coming here but I watch people's reactions to eating their own when I'm waiting or playing a round of chess and I haven't seen a bad reaction or a plate with food left on it. If you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. They make it when you order it in a traditional Vietnamese style. So when you have an extra 15 minutes and you're curious, definitely stop in, have a cup and say hello. read more

This is an adorable little drink or dessert place to just hang out in and relax a while. They have a wide selection of drinks to order from, almost a little overwhelming if you're not used to some of the terms. Unique and yummy! A whole Vietnamese coffee shop is hard to find in this area. Delicious iced coffee and croissant sandwich. Super serene atmosphere: a sanctuary on busy NASA Parkway. I grew up in this area and I wish it were around back then! read more

I first came here when I was looking for a place with bubble tea and internet. The cafe was quiet, almost too quiet. It's small, and there was only one other woman there working on her computer when I came in. And they were playing Billy Joel on the stereo. I got a Thai Iced Tea and sat down to work on my taxes. The Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. The internet was a bit slow. But while I was there I saw a teenager come in, to also use the internet. He asked the owner for some water, and where the bathroom was. Seemingly not going to buy anything. Yet the owner was patient, and answered all his questions and got him some water. Just before he left he did get a bubble tea. On International Women's Day I was thirsty and wanted to support a small business. I went back here and confirmed that this really is a "mom & pop" shop. I got two bubble teas to go and they were even better than when I had been earlier. If you want to shop local, or just get some good bubble tea check this place out. read more

Nice peaceful atmosphere, warm and welcoming. Drinks are great, their ca phe sua da is not as heavy as I've had at other places which I like, but it's still got that strong chicory kick. All of their fruit teas are very good, though sweet, with little pieces of fruit in them. The hot ginger tea is wonderful on a cold day. They also make really good sandwiches. Love this place. This is a one of a kind place. The coffee is a Vietnamese traditional drip. The teas are AMAZING. The proprietors are so charming and attentive. These ladies have taken great pains to make every detail of the cafe a harmonious and comfortable experience. Go there NOW! Get a warm cup of coffee and study or read the NYTimes. read more

Cute little hole in the wall coffee shop. Think more friends house than Starbucks style for the interior and that's this place. The drinks we got weren't too bad. We got chai tea, coconut bubble tea, and taro smoothie. All in all, good place when the trip to the usual place is out of the question. read more

Ca phe Phin is an independent, family-run coffee shop in Nassau Bay that has operated for over 6 years thanks to local patrons and travelers visiting NASA JSC, Kemah, Galveston beaches and Houston. To us and many of our patrons, Cafe Phin is truly a home away from home, where cups of ca phe den da (Vietnamese iced black coffee) or ca phe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk) are prepared and served the same way a traditional coffee stall on the streets of Vietnam prepares and serves them. To others, Cafe Phin is a destination to explore and enjoy the ca phe den da, ca phe sua da, and a variety of coffee & tea beverages in a cozy and meditative atmosphere that will give you a glimpse into the charms of Vietnamese culture. Ca phe sua da is trendy now. Tapioca bubble tea is fun for the summer. Our menu changes seasonally. Come join us! You may be intimidated by the look of Ca Phe Phin from the outside because of its high class looking sign and intricate menu, but once you enter the establishment you are immediately put at ease with the very friendly staff and chilled out music that resonates down into your bones. The menu is vast but the two girls will help you decide, you just have to tell them what you like, i.e. coffee/tea hot or iced. Tonight we experienced Lotus Tea, Red Tea with Coffee Jelly and a Coffee Float. The Lotus Tea was very Light and Bright and had a sweet finish. The Red Tea had a great deep spice to it and the texture of the jelly was a great marriage. The star of the night however was the Coffee Float, well presented and executed, A very strong coffee with ice-cream and cream on top. For dessert we had Banana Cake and a Coffee Caramel Flan, Both were outrageously delicious and almost as good as the Coffee's themselves. Next time do yourself a favor don't be shy and visit Ca Phe Phin. read more

How to get to Phin, direction, tips... From 45: take exit 24 to Nasa By Pass, off the ramp, cross the 1st light, slow down, Phin is just there on our right side (pull over to Akimi Sushi building parking lot, which is opposite Regatta Building & Chevron Gas Station and you'll get it) From 146, Kemah, NASA: take Nasa Pkwy, cross Saturn Ln, cross JSC, cross Point Look Out, at the light of Nasau Bay, take a U-turn, Phin coffee is then on our right side (see above) There are some other ways if you're familiar with the area.
