Fantastic restaurant, very high-quality and excellent service located inside the Fairmont hotel. Everything was great and the presentation was wonderful and the setting was beautiful overlooking the pool. Compared to several of the other local restaurants, this one was by far one of the best

Ate here at Caña for lunch this afternoon. Ordered at Grilled Churrasco (10oz steak, chinichurrii with tostones and ESJ Burger (8oz Angus Beef, bacon and fries). For dessert, we had house Rum Cake with 2 macarons - a must to try. Best way to end the meal too! Service is up to par and love the restaurant ambiance and great ocean view from the beach club. Staffs are friendly and helpful, specially Orlando.

The absolute worst food for the money. Pork chop was cooked like a brick. No flavor, prepared with broccolini and a marinara. Do not order. Family ordered salmon, beef tenderloin and snapper. All, very plain and underwhelming. Save your time, money and go elsewhere. Server made bad recommendations and knew it. He was average. Avoid at all cost!!

Fish with a kiss of fry. The papaya was an incredible contrast to the fish and unctuous potatoes.

We visited Cana for a date night upon our arrival to Puerto Rico, as we were staying at Fairmont and wanted some local flavors. The food was delicious, the sides particularly creative. I don't typically get fried food, but the fish was so gently fried it was absolutely delicious. Highly suggest splitting an entree as portions were huge, and trying out the appetizers as they were very inventive and tasty. Mixed reviews on service - our server was clearly friendly and attentive, but at times we felt a little too hovering and engaging in lots of small talk when we were focused on trying to have some time away from the kids.

The food was amazing, the host was lovely. There's option for a Buffett too which wasn't to pricey. Very good view to the water and right on the resort/casino.

I think this restaurant has the best service, our server, Alex seems to be very passionate about great food and service. He recommended the seafood salad and the baccalaito (cod fish fritters). It was refreshing and delicious. The restaurant is by the pool and has a relaxing vibe.

Beautiful setting at the Fairmont hotel. Valet was only $16 with the validation. We had my mom's 1/2 birthday dinner and they made her feel super special. I had the snapper. Lots of sauce, they seem to like the coconut sweet sauces here. Everyone enjoyed their meals! I had an espresso martini - it was too sugary.

Let's start with breakfast... During my vacation trip here in Puerto Rico I've been able to eat breakfast here at the Cana every morning. I must say it's been a splendor to do so. I've always gotten their breakfast buffet that runs until 11am. This breakfast buffet includes everything I could ever ask for in a breakfast meal. For the traditional breakfast folks they have a great spread of plump sausages, crispy bacon, baked plantains, and fluffy scrambled eggs. They also have a bread & dessert bar section that is worth checking out especially because they change up the desserts daily. The display of local fruits are a delight to see from dragonfruit, guava, melon, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries, and more. I love their local Greek style yogurt and their granola bowls that they display. But my usual favorite has been their delicious plate of beautifully swirled lox on a plate accompanied by little bowls of capers and diced red onions. Then when you top that with their omelette bar I've been eating in breakfast heaven every day. I get their vegetarian omelette and the secret to this entire breakfast is their house made spicy salsa that they only offer if you ask and if they have made enough for the day. This sauce is divine and makes every bit of the meal as perfect as can be. Now let's go into dinner... I have to say dinner at Cana last night blew every other meal I've had on the island to smidderines. The entire dinner experience was immaculate. We were sold by our passionate acting hostess/manager who greeted us at the front. I believe her name was Shereen who was wearing these pearly white head piece that matched her bubbly yet genuine personality. Without being overbearing she delightfully went down the entire dinner menu section by section passionately explaining her favorite dishes and explaining the rationale to why it was her favorite. She crafted her way quickly through each section of the menu and by the time she was done with explaining the dessert menu we were completely sold in dining at Cana for dinner. We got almost everything she recommended and it sure did not disappoint. For the Para Picar snacks we selected with the Buenuelos de Yautia (white yam fritters, capaez cheese, jalapeño aioli) & for the Para Empezar starters, we got the Salpicon de Polpo (chilled octopus with black olive remoulade, & tostones). This octopus dish was my ultimate favorite. It was so delicious to every bite. I ate the whole thing and did not share. Hahaha. Then for the Platos, we ordered the Chillo a la Plancha (whole red snapper, cilantro, preserved lemon salsa verde, & lemon shout sauce). It comes in a small, medium, & large size option. We tried to order the small but they only had medium available. It was a lot of red snapper but delicious and we ended up taking more than half of it home. We also ordered the Arroz Con Congrejo y Langostino (blue crab rice with prawns). The prawns were so juicy and plump and spectacularly enormous. I lived the prawns. I was a bit saddened to see the blue crab felt drowned out by the rice but still delectable. Then to top off the evening we ended with the Copa de Caramelo (salted chocolate mousse, raspberry chocolate crumble) multiple layered dessert that was to die for. We were so pleased to have tipped off our trip with our evening at Cana. It was a sheer delight to end it on such a high note here at the Fairmont Hotel.

It's an old house that was transformed into a restaurant. It's pretty big in there and they have an upstairs as well. It really feels like you're eating in a Caribbean home, from the colorful tablecloth to the things on the tables. The menu is on a board, and they have a Spanish and English version. They give you a cup of complimentary plantain soup which was amazing. We also ordered the fried cheese app which came with a delicious guava sauce. For mains, I had the fried pork with tostones and my husband had the mamposteado (corned beef, fried eggs, and rice). My husband cleaned his plate, while I took leftovers back to the hotel (which we actually ate later because it was that good). They were out of tres leches that day, so we had the coconut pudding for dessert. It was my first time trying coconut pudding and it did not disappoint! For drinks, we had the passionfruit sangria. When we left, there was a very long line outside. Despite the line, they did not rush us out. Definitely recommend and would go out of my way to come back next time I'm in PR.

The sangria however, was not great. It just tasted like juices that don't really work together. I couldn't taste the wine. We ordered the roasted pork and skirt steak. The steak was really tasty, and juicy. But the roasted pork was very dried and hard. It had some good bits in it but there were quite a few pieces that were too cooked to eat. The rice and beans were cooked very well. This is the perfect place for quick local food where you won't spend too much. But if you want a very high quality, I would choose elsewhere.

Probably not a "must-get" but a nice warm introduction. Next was the kampachi- the fish was really great but the sauce was a little thicker/heavier than expected. Then came the grilled prawns. This was our favorite dish! The prawns were large & well cooked. Sauce was extremely savory with great crab and butter flavor. The fried chicken was our second favorite dish. Chicken was juicy, crispy, and well seasoned. The sauce was SPICY. Sweet and savory with an Asian twist with the addition of nuoc cham. We then had the morcilla crepes which were good but not something I'd get again. They were fine- soft, & meaty- not much to say. Lastly, we finished off our meal with a sweet plantain bolognese. The chocolate was so interesting and actually worked really well with the meat sauce. The agnolotti was filled with plantain! This unique dish was the perfect cap to the meal.
