There may be lots of prayer, dancing, singing and speaking, or perhaps a very long worship session. One morning they had the kids perform Katy Perry's 'Eye of the Tiger' dressed up in cat ears and camo gear. It was loads of fun! After the service, there's a cafe upstairs where you can order the meal of the day and a nice espresso coffee. Sometimes they do free coffee and muffins! Everyone is welcoming and non-judgemental, allowing you to just be you. The youth aren't cliquey, and organise a lot of 'spur of the moment' events. This place is not for people who feel comfortable just sitting in a pew (in fact, there are no pews) or crave some form of control/structure. It's a place to feel relaxed, accepted and loved, as well as grow in your faith. If this is what you're after, come and say hi!

But good places have a habit of making themselves known, so I'm sure me holding off on a review would do much. This place is massive - it's a warehouse full of cheap, good quality secondhand goods. I generally go for the clothes, so I skip past the homewares and furniture and make a beeline for the back area. On a single trip I have come away with as many as 20 new pieces of clothing, and my average haul is anywhere from five to 10 new pieces. Lots of people in the Eastern suburbs appear to not want their vintage dresses, gorgeous one-piece swimsuits or sweet shorts any more, so now they're mine! I'll also take all their yellow '70s Tupperware off their hands too, thank you very much.

They are also predominately South African, so if you come from Africa, you'll find yourself right at home! Operating out of a school hall, their office is actually on Harris Rd in Botany, so feel free to drop in on a Sunday about 10am for a coffee and an enjoyable service. Be sure to greet the pastor Andrew and his wife Emma. If you are planning on staying, get plugged into a Life Group, so you can make some good friends and grow in your relationship with God.
