Cedric honored his price quote even when the customer - me - interpreted it to include more than intended.

What also stood out is that they're using a legitimate professional system, not off-the-shelf products, and applying it properly. If you're looking for a detail-oriented shop that does things the right way, this is the place you are looking for. I don't have a good picture so I had a little bit of fun with an image generator..

Where things started to slip was on the pickup side. I was told the car was ready, but still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes before actually getting it. At checkout, I was also surprised to see a tip screen with suggested amounts that felt pretty high given the service. I ended up leaving a small tip, but the experience itself didn't really match that level of expectation. I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I planned on using the wash program and mentioned to Jasmine my poor service experience. Think there was follow-up? Nada. So, thumbs "kind of" up for Ceramic Pro but thumbs down for this location. Overall, I think the company itself does good work, and have used the Kearny Mesa location in the past several times with excellent success!! I would not choose this location again.

Not wanting the risk of dealing with pesky old tint, I opted to source this work out to a professional. I reached out to several tinting professionals. Almost all of them offered different manufacturer tints as well as wildly different prices. What made Joseph stand out was the combination of offering mobile service, his prompt/professional communication throughout, and competitive pricing. After deciding to proceed with Joseph, we arranged a time to complete the work as well as confirming if power would be available on site. He provided early communication to ensure I was aware of him arriving for his work. Upon arrival, he had a truck load of different tints from MaxPro as well as an info packet with sample tint swabs. Once I made a decision, he proceeded with the removal which was relatively straightforward and caused no damage to the vehicle (he did make me aware that there was the possibility of damage beforehand). He then proceeded to tint the vehicle, but ran into an issue with the wind having foreign plant debris flying towards the car since it was outside. We ultimately decided to rearrange the work for another day since relocating the car was not an option. He arrived on a later day and completed the tint job without issue. The end product fitment is excellent and looks really clean. I'd highly recommend considering Joseph for your tinting needs. He will be my go to tinter moving forward and the guy I'll recommend to anyone else who's looking to get some tint installed.

We recently had Paint Protection Film installed on our brand new BMW Z4 M40i in Frozen Grey II…read moreMetallic, and Film Werkz absolutely exceeded every expectation. This car is not an easy PPF job. The factory matte paint alone is a challenge, as I wanted the film to match perfectly in finish, sheen, and texture so that it would be as invisible as possible. On top of that, the Z4 has a massive clamshell hood that's wider than standard PPF rolls, plus very aggressive front and rear bumper designs with sharp angles, ducts, grills, and tight transitions. This is not a car you hand to "just any" shop. We protected all major high-impact areas: front bumper, headlights, full hood, rocker panels, and the entire rear bumper. From the very first interaction, Daniel at Film Werkz was head and shoulders above every other shop we contacted. I sent a very detailed inquiry with specific questions about materials, installation techniques, edge handling, and long-term durability. Daniel took the time to respond thoughtfully to every point with explanations clearly born out of real experience -- not boilerplate marketing answers. He even shared a recent Z4 M40i with the exact same Frozen paint that they had just completed, which instantly gave us confidence we were in the right hands. When we picked the car up, it looked stunning because the install was so invisible it looked like nothing had been done -- which is exactly how a perfect PPF install should look. The film is practically undetectable unless you know where to look. No visible seams, excellent tucking, flawless transitions between protected and unprotected panels, and even the feel of the surface matches the factory matte paint. The hood is one large piece of film stretched and installed perfectly. The rear bumper was also done in a single piece and looks phenomenal. The front bumper -- especially around the emblem and complex openings -- is immaculate. I've been a gearhead for over 25 years and do much of my own work, so when I have to take a car "out of house," I vet shops like a vendor reviewing a subcontractor. We contacted five highly rated shops in the San Diego area, and from the first response onward, Film Werkz stood apart. Pricing was very competitive, but more importantly, Daniel instilled complete confidence that our car was being handled by a true craftsman who understands both the material and the long-term consequences of every decision. During the install, we actually increased the scope of work, and Daniel handled it seamlessly -- with transparent pricing, no pressure, and the same attention to detail throughout. Film Werkz is exactly the kind of small boutique shop I was hoping to find -- focused, meticulous, and run by someone who genuinely shares a passion for cars. Daniel has earned a lifelong customer, and Film Werkz is now our only go-to shop for PPF, tint, vinyl, or any vehicle enhancement work. Highly, highly recommended.

I am extremely selective about who touches my personal vehicles, and Film Werkz has become my go to…read moreshop without hesitation. Daniel and his team treat every car as if it were their own, and the level of detail they put into their work is something you do not see often in this industry. I first brought in my personal car for PPF and ceramic coating, and the outcome completely exceeded my expectations. The film install was seamless, the finish was flawless, and the way the coating transformed the depth and clarity of the paint was next level. It made the car look better than brand new. Since then, every personal vehicle I own goes straight to them before it sees any real miles. They protect everything, from the daily drivers to the higher end builds, and the quality is consistent every time. They catch the small things most shops overlook and refuse to cut corners on anything. That is why their work holds up long term and continues to look good even after months of driving. Daniel is the kind of owner you want behind a shop. Honest, responsive, and skilled. He explains exactly what he is doing, why it matters, and what to expect. You can tell he takes real pride in his craft and in the reputation of Film Werkz. If you care about your car and want it protected and finished by people who take the work seriously, this is the place. I will not take my personal vehicles anywhere else.
