Salmon, onions and spinach omelet excellent
Andy C.

Food here is really good. I had the spinach, onion and salmon omelete and it was very good. You order your food at the counter and they find you. Spouse had waffle and it was amazing. Tasted great. Mochachino was great and regular coffee was also good. Building is cool inside. Old bank or other. Highly recommend on a trolly stop.

Great coffee and service! There's a couple of different C-# coffee shops in Christchurch, they were apparently one company before but have since become independent. The interior was so beautiful and they had a bunch of cute features like the sewing machine water dispenser and the bookcase bathroom door. The bathroom was also playing a Harry Potter audiobook which was a cool touch. Wish we had more time in Christchurch because we want to come back again tomorrow! The iced chai was yummy. The drip coffee for the Ethiopian coffee was also delicious and came with instructions too! It was a great experience.

Chill coffee house with a wide selection of both drinks and food. The employees were very friendly and provided suggestions. I got a coffee and the Savory Crumpets. Both were tasty. They also got me a mug of hot water that I requested. Different seating options available here including some large group tables. I sat down at a small table with bench seating against a wall. The seating and table height ratio was off so it was a big uncomfortable because I couldn't cross my legs, but I think there are more comfortable seats elsewhere inside.

I love the classic look C1 Espresso brings to its guests. I had the mocha which tasted really nice. Service was nice. When you go, you'll have to try and spot the hidden door!

Vegan nachos

Thoroughly enjoyed the vegan nachos, even my meat eating friends enjoyed them lol. The service was unique, enjoyed the experience.

Crumpet with fried halloumi cheese and greens

Beautiful eatery located in an old post office. The breakfast selections were delicious. Service was quick and the staff was very friendly.

Pretty cool place- the outside is super fancy! There is outdoor and indoor seating available. My husband and I stopped her for breakfast (only bummer is they don't use the pneumatic tubes until afternoon). We ordered coffees (plenty of options) and breakfast- which was delectable, and their coffee was high quality! The whole atmosphere was really neat- for water, it came out of am old sewing machine! To get to the restrooms, it was behind a bookcase door. Very fun! Would've loved to come back in the afternoon had we been in Christchurch longer. It was hilarious since it was like 7a and they were blaring gangster rap music- I didn't mind but usually I'd like a beer in my hand for that hah.

Blue smoothie bowl and salmon and avocado breakfast

What a cool place! The decor inside is awesome, you wouldn't get bored just sitting here and looking around (also looking for the toilet, which is a fun game, as is working out which star wars character's room you will be weeing in). I really liked my blue smoothie bowl, it was beautifully presented. I thought the bread with the salmon and avo was a bit dry but other than that no complaints really. Sadly they've been having trouble sourcing the acai smoothie that was the reason I was told to go, but worth asking to see if they have it back in now!

I really dug this café, though I will say, I did initially feel like I was nowhere near the end of the "hip & cool" spectrum you might need to be on to eat here. The space is very quirky contemporary and I think it might have been a bank or something previously because there are vacuum tubes incorporated in the décor throughout. They did a great job of repurposing antique items and a walk around the café is highly recommended to discover some of these repurposed items. They have a great menu concept and their coffee drinks vary from the usual suspects to works of art (the ice coffee has ice cream, marshmallows, and a choc-covered Swedish fish). I had the breakfast burger and it was beyond delicious! You definitely pay for what you get, so be warned you will drop some bank here, but between the ambiance, quality, and just fun-ness of the novelty, it is well worth it! The staff was quite nice as well and seem to be used to getting people who are new to their menu and ordering concept. It is counter service and open seating. I would definitely come back for the bfast burger and ice coffee alone!

I didn't end up getting an espresso here, but instead got the tea, so my review is for the tea here. The concept and look of the place is quite nice, it's in a nice location and it has a very nice artsy and modern feel to it. I saw someone order the tea and it looked really gorgeous with the ice cubes filled with fruit or whatever, and the pretty bottle with the tea. I ended up ordering that, and while what I got was very pretty, the tea itself wasn't all that special. It tasted a little plain, and the scent of the tea wasn't all that special or unique. It was just really good presentation, the tea itself was a bit lacking.

A piccolo on almondmilk - delicious!

Great coffee - probably the best we've had in the New Zealand. The had almond, coconut and soy milk as non dairy options. Thumbs up on that! Food was really good, nice staff and the waiting on everything was quite short. Not the busiest night maybe but still. The vegan nachos was our personal favorite - a lot of flavors and the guacamole was to die for (according to me at least). Great spot and close to other places if you want to walk on further for drinks or dessert. Will definitely come back for the amazing coffee!

Super Choice Bro. Wholesome breakfast of champions.

This place is amazing. So glad we came here for breakfast and coffee before a long drive to the glaciers. I went with the Super Choice Bro: it was pretty much a healthier version of a English breakfast and much more delicious. Also, I loved the the eclectic furniture and set up. The water dispenser is a retro sewing machine. The door way to the kitchen is a secret bookshelf. That's how cool this place is.

Fried cauliflower + savory waffle

5 stars for the innovative style and delivery (literally) of C1 Espresso. The coffee and food is very good, but the design of the cafe itself is what makes it a must try. Beverages are delivered to your table in pneumatic tubes, which gives the establishment a futuristic feel and makes it fun for every customer. This cafe nails the aesthetic in every category, from pleasing food to a unique dining environment.

The ice coffee comes with ice cream, marsh mellows, and a chocolate covered bubble gum fish. YUM.

Absolutely loved the Addington. Great atmosphere, great menu. Highly recommend…read more We had brunch here: - salmon benedict (4.5 stars) - avo (4.5 stars, 5 stars for the halloumi, which was life-changing) - mushroom (5 stars), but then again I love mushrooms - scone (4 stars) - sweet and buttery, but I'm not much of a sweets person. Plus I had a BLTA sandwich (5 stars) as a take-away as I embarked on my day trip to Arthur's Pass. Ate it next to the mountains... so good.

Best brunch spot in ChCh! And this city loves them some brunch! Went here three times and it was…read morejust as good every time. Busy busy place but it's big and spacious inside so they can handle all the people. You might have to eat on the sofa in the front by the front door but ayyy food is worth the inconvenience haha. They always keep their menu simple which is nice because it makes deciding what to eat easier. One page and they vary it with a few options. The famous English style breakfast, eggs benny, some more general breakfast choices and what I got, the french toast plate with streaky bacon. In NZ they like to cook their bacon a little underdone which I didn't think I would like but I love it! They put in between the toast add some fruit, syrup and cream. It was amazing! I'm that guy that usually orders the best thing out of my friends and they all wish they got what I got.. this was one of those times haha. Definitely recommend.. It's a bit pricey here, between $17 - $23 depending on your choice. My French Toast was $20. They're famous for coffee here but I'm not really into coffee much(don't hate me) but I did get hooked on Chai lattes. Spicy or sweet, it's up to you. I wasn't feeling so spicy that morning, hangover vibes... so I got sweet. You order at a counter and then seat yourself. Instead of giving numbers to ID your table they give you a random country flag. Funny enough, the cashier said I look either Canadian or from California. So she gave me the Canada flag. Thanks EH. Do I really give off such a strong California vibe? I got that a few times when traveling around hahah. Amazing food, nice interior vibes, Chai was dank. 5 stars!

Addington Coffee Co-op - Yummy BLTA, greens are a bit wilted because it was a take-away, and I left it in the hot car for some time. STILL DELICIOUS.
