There was a part of me that was anxious we would drive all that way only to have them say sorry, your vehicle is not as nice so the trade in value is less (based on other dealership experiences- kind of a bait and switch). Ahead of time, we had a purchase agreement tentatively figured out... When we got there, Mike confirmed the generous trade in amount he had offered, and because we had been able to work things out in advance, we were able to drive off the lot with the updated vehicle in less than an hour. It is clear to me that he takes pride in the reputation of the dealership and makes every effort to live up to that Reliable name. They tell me that since they changed from Olson to Patriot they are not EV compliant, even though they SELL Silverados! It is the same store, same shop same staff. They even replaced the battery on my Bolt when I bought it, so I know they are equipped to work on it. Here is the kicker. I need the WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP FIXED!! This has nothing to do with being and EV. It's just the windshield washer. To make matters worse, the service guy I spoke to, in person, inadvertently implied to me they could WORK on the car, they just wouldn't honor the warranty. Now to the serviceman's credit, when I called a couple of hours later and offered to PAY HIM to fix the windshield washer on my Bolt, he said he wasn't comfortable taking my money (once again, saying he COULD fix my car) when I had purchased a warranty. However, imagine my frustration at being convinced by the salesman to buy the warranty only to have that purchase prevent the service department at the dealership WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR from fixing it, when they could! It is obvious that Patriot Chevy, by virtue of "allowing" their EV compliance to lapse can get out of honoring warranties. These people are friendly rip off artists. Jim Olsen's service department found a "small leak" by the valve stem, but told us it was not a problem for us to drive home and get the repair done by our home dealer. Of course it very much was a problem and we had to pull over every hour to fill the tire. Ford really needs to figure out a way for different dealers to collaborate on warranteed work like this, but Jim Olsen shouldn't have told us the leak was inconsequential.

A few weeks ago I had just gotten into Sturgeon Bay and my check engine light came on, shortly followed by my car warning me that my transmission was overheating. Panicked I pulled over and googled for mechanics and the top result was Young Automotive. I called and spoke with Nick, I explained my situation, that I was out of town, and that I was right down the road. They weren't able to look at my car until after the weekend, but they got me into a loner car, were super clear about what the cost would be for the loner as well as evaluating my car, and within 15 minutes I was on my way home. It turned out that the issue had warranty coverage with Ford and Young Automotive went above an beyond by transporting my car from their location over to the Ford dealership (Jim Olson) for me since I live 2 hours away. They extended my loner rental at the customer rate and when I showed up to return the loner and pick up my car from the dealership, they gave me a ride over so I didn't have to Uber or find a cab. I typically do research before I pick a mechanic, handyman, ext, however research wasn't really an option in this situation. I am beyond pleased with the amazing customer service, clear communication, and reasonable pricing. If you live in Sturgeon Bay and are looking for a mechanic I can't recommend Young Automotive enough. And if you are like me, just swinging through town and your transmission overheats, they are the ones I would call.

I saw the engine was very hot on the thermostat. They had flushed but not filled. There was no coolant in the radiator. I waited for the engine to cool down and I called them. I was told it was almost closing time and they might not be able to do anything. I immediately drove back with a hot engine. There was no excuse or attempt to rectify their mistake. In fact, they told me I should have checked the radiator before I left. I could have lost the whole engine.

On my 2009 RAM, was quoted $1200 for tires! Had the same Goodyears done at Kocharts for just under $800. That was after they burned me for $50 on an oil change on the RAM.

I made arrangements through my insurance to have my car towed to Sturgeon Bay as nothing was open on the peninsula. The pickup was scheduled for 10:30am. Like clockwork DC Automotive towing showed up @ 10:3am. The driver called and informed me he was there to pick up my car. When I came out of the lobby he was already hooking up a Honda Accord to the flatbed tow truck. The only problem is it wasn't my Honda Accord lol . After letting him know and showing Seth the right car he hooked it up (my car) and brought it the the drop off lot in Sturgeon Bay. Can you imagine the other person coming out & finding their car gone (too funny ). Maybe not for them. I rode into Sturgeon Bay w/Seth and found out he has accomplished an amazing amount in his short 20 year life including being the owner of this towing company & having a 2 other jobs.
