It's impossible to talk to her normally, she yelled at the clients. The water quality is bad, and so the service. They could care less to find out about the leak and high bill of their client. Or at least inform the client that something is wrong due to unusual water usage. Important to this company is they got the money automatically thru Payclix. Went in Friday to drop off a cashiers check for this months bill and next month, so we don't have to go again next month hopefully. A huge mess, which originally wasn't their fault, now I get an email this morning stating that the bill was still due, so I call and ask if they didn't cash the cashiers check i turned in Friday. Well between the time I dropped it off and somewhere in the office the lady misplaced the cashiers check. So now I get to go back to H‑E‑B to pay $15 for a replacement and this time I will not be leaving till I get confirmation that they did receive it and I will be taking a picture this time as well. They sent out a letter that, to my understanding, only specified the wells that were subject to a rate increase which confused our community because no one knew what well designation they were on. My service is on auto pay due 2/26 and my water was shut off on 2/27 at 8am. I called and they said I had a balance, despite my account saying $0. They told me to call pay Clix. Pay clix said it was a C&R issue as they see $0 as well. Turns out PayClix was down for maintenance during the billing period and C&R didn't get my payment. No notice of water shut off in email or snail mail, just a confirmation that my auto payment would be processed on the 16th. Had to go into Willis with a $100 money order to have them turn it back on. When I asked why as it was a system issue and I've never missed a payment in almost 2 years, she said "it's protocol you need to come in to the office and pay the reconnect fee or be without water." I went down to the office to pay this fee and told the woman I got no notice, no warning, and told her the comment of the other woman on the phone. She told me "nobody here would say something like that, but I'll give the feedback". I also told her I don't understand why I have to pay the $100 fee when it was an error in their system. She said "if it was our system I would have noticed. I got everyone else's payments on time, not yours so it wasn't the system. Fast forward 2 hours later, still no water. I called and asked when it would be on and the woman on the phone said "I don't know". That's it. "I don't know." When the man finally showed up to unlock my valve, I went out and asked the man how many valves he shut off today. He told me, "60-65 in this neighborhood alone." So no, they did not "get everyone else's payment on time". Neighbors are putting together a petition to get this monopoly overturned. The ONLY option for water in this city is C&R, and that is why they're able to treat their "customers" this way. My advice is to buy in a neighborhood that C&R does not service. We are new customers in New Waverly and I couldn't agree more with all the 1 star commentors listed here. The C & R office staff is very rude and uncaring. If you go in to the office and ask any questions, it's an attutude of "what are you doing here" and "fill the form out, Dummy". Got our first water bill and it was enormous for one month. Two of the weeks we were out of the country and used NO WATER, but the uncaring person said "well you have to pay $115 before you even use one drop of water", it's a monthly fee. Very rude people, no customer service, no options to pay online, office sometimes is close and you go to pay and found nobody then they cut the water. If I could put zero, I would. This is the only company we can use and every single month they add some reason why our water gets shut off. If your payment doesn't go through on their website it will send you a receipt anyways with the smallest barely visible text at the bottom that says, payment didn't go through. Bad on us for not seeing the fine print? Bad on them for having a receipt despite nothing being paid. This month, we paid online and the online amount was one cent less than the paper bill - so despite us paying, their innaccuracry makes us have yet another instance with water turned off. Contract states they aren't responsible for third party. I wonder what next month is going to be. Can't wait for another "late" fee along with the turning it back on fee. Didn't even want to give them 1 star. Extremely rude, non-caring, inconsiderate people. They have disconnected water without notices. They have charged money for no reason, at there own will. You cannot reason with any employee in there, they will yell at you anytime they please. Many people live over an hour away and they will not accept payments online, even though they have a pay online option that will take your money. Their ruthless hearts will demand you drive in over an hour to pay in the office. Even during covid- and they werent even there! If anybody knows the lawyers name that is making a case against them, I would appreciate the info. I will definitely be calling the also- I know there are many cases against them, maybe a class action suit- not sure which. This company is awful! They are very rude, don't care about there customers and they overcharge. I had a bill that i was unaware of..it was almost $300 not sure why i even had the bill because we weren't living here for the month they were charging me for, they said if i don't pay it by the following day my water would be turned off (might i add during this pandemic) they wouldn't work with me AT ALL! Then i get the next months bill for almost $200 less than a week later..Thankfully i had family that could loan me the money but if i had a choice in my water company i would definitely not choose them! In the past I've provided negative feedback about this company. With that being said, it's only fair to acknowledge their improvements in the customer service arena. Over the past 3 months my interactions with employees has revealed they are more cordial and customer friendly. I would rate them higher but I'm monitoring to determine if it's sustainable. They double charge you, charge what they want, and sometimes even charge for stuff they think you didn't pay when you actually have. Very unprofessional. When you pay the money they are demanding for no reason, they wont turn your water back on until they feel like it. 2-5 days later maybe. They literally do not care about their customers. Sadly to say , this company c&r water just charged me $47.00 although I have been without water since freeze. My pipes busted under house and in walls . Last month I received a bill so I called them they said it's the previous months bill and February's bill will be sent in March. Today I received a $47.00 bill they said even though you had no running water a standard monthly fee is charged. Sounds pretty y to me. Considering you also get no refund at end of. C&r water supply have a monopoly in the Montgomery and Willis area. They have double charged me several times now. They only give their customers 10 day after due date to pay before they shut your meter off. Yet, I've gotten several bills they say I owe for the previous bill statement. Now during covid-19 they have done it again. And have shut off my water. I did pay the previous bill. I was late paying this bill because I haven't worked since the start of covid-19. I have kids in my house. I called and asked for a little more time. They denied. They also charge a $35 reconnect fee. Last time they shut my water off it was a Friday. They didn't send me a bill. I paid as soon as I got home from work. After I pay, they tell me it'll be Monday morning before they turn me on. I asked if there was anything they could do about coming out Saturday to turn my water on and they said no. I've already paid my bill so I cut the lock. I went out and bought a new lock to replace the cut one. They come out Monday morning and lock my meter again. They said it's a $45 fee for cutting the lock they had on it and now it's another $35 fee to turn it back on. Not to mention, they're always putting signs up at the front the neighborhood that says boil water before use. But still won't get the issue properly fixed. I've talked to a few neighbors who have said they done it to them a few times. Pretty much, if you want water you're going to pay whatever they say. They operate as they please. read more

the company has a monopoly in areas, yet charges $79.99 a month just as an access fee for water and sewer. post hurricane harvey we are still getting billed this amount and we cannot even live in the home. the company wants us to forfit the $200 deposit or keep it turned on and pay the 79.99. it will be between 2 and 5 months before the home is habitable, yet we will have to forfit $200 deposit and put up another $200 deposit or keep paying $79.99-90 per month for access to water. read more
