This is one of the most british pub outside of the Commonwealth of Nations I have ever been in…read more There is certainly attention to detail and it's decoration is so nice, it is worth a visit just to have seen it. The only (Swedish) twist it has been given, and this is not a bad thing, is that it is also a restaurant and thus there are many tables. The tables are fairly widely spaced and some of the chairs to them are lether 'Chesterfield' type.
The choice of ales is breathtaking. I didn't count, but they must have around 12 ales and 6 or so other kinds of beer on tap. We drank, London Pride, Spitfire and a local lager.
The food was good. We ater fish and chips and a Swedish dish (pancake with bacon and little red lingonberries).
Unlike at least one other pub I went to in Karlstad, it's customers seem to be a bit older in the 40 to 50 year old range.
