A large, busy and modern bakery with all sorts of fancy breads and pastries. Was pretty excited to select a few things to try - until I walked in.
The entire glass display holding the cakes and pastries was swarmed with bees!! Bees everywhere!! Walking all over the sweet goodies - eating and enjoying for free.
And yet no body seemed to be shocked or appalled at the sight. The queue was still long and running strong.
Was i hallucinating? Why was everyone else okay with this?
I tried to look for SOMETHING that didn't have a gazillion bees crawling all over it, but there was none. So i walked out.
This is definitely not something that we Londoners are okay or even used to - but i'm getting the feeling that its normal for Germans?? I even went to another bread and pastry shop/stall the next day and I witnessed the same sight. Its like the bees are also counted as customers or something.
