My husband and I were traveling by RV, passing through Corpus Christi on a weekend, when we noticed…read morethat one of our front tires had a defect. Our mechanic recommended that we replace the two front tires right away. Stopped at Bañuelos on a Saturday afternoon. They didn't have the Michelin tires we needed in stock, but promised they could have them for us first thing Monday morning. We shopped around to see if we could find a dealer who had the right tires in stock. Went to two national chain tire shops, and the car dealer. No one could get the tires for us sooner than Tuesday, so we went back to Bañuelos. They ordered the tires and told us to come first thing Monday morning. The tires were in as promised, and they were able to accommodate our tall RV in their garage. Service performed was great and on time. Price paid including installation was competitive with the other shops. Felt better giving my business to a local independent shop rather than a big chain. I highly recommend this tire shop and would return if I lived in the area.

After getting my oil changed at a Take 5 in Sugar Land, I made the hyperspace jump down to Corpus Christi to visit family. Just as I was about to cross the new bridge from Portland, I started hearing a strange hum, like the Millennium Falcon trying to jump to lightspeed with a bad motivator. Once I landed at my sister's house, there it was, a loud clack! Turns out, my skid plate had fallen and was hanging on by two brave little screws, holding on for dear life. Unsure of what to do, I rolled into the Take 5 on Saratoga; enter the heroes of this saga. These guys didn't just help; they went full Jedi Council on it. They diagnosed the problem faster than R2-D2 slicing into a Death Star terminal, realized they didn't have the screws, and sent me just down the street to O'Reilly's. Once I returned, they reinstalled the skid plate without hesitation, no charge, no hassle; just honor, skill, and kindness worthy of a Yoda nod. They didn't ask for credits, only to do what's right for the company and the customer. I was so blown away by their integrity and good spirit that I brought back drinks and snacks as a small token of appreciation. If there were a Rebel Alliance of honest mechanics, the Saratoga Take 5 crew would be leading it. Too bad I can't bring my ship here for every oil change, they've definitely earned my lifelong loyalty. 10 out of 10 stars! This is the Take 5 you're looking for.

I only wish I had called Mo Glass before running all over town. They had exactly what I needed. If your house still has vintage seventies / eighties style windows that use the Vinyl Snap In Glazing Beads, take a sample bead with you and go see Mo Glass (aka: Moreno Glass). I'll bet they have what you need. Thanks Mo Glass for coming to my rescue. Update on July 19, 2017: On July 18, 2017, I had an appointment with Mo Glass to replace the windshield in my 2001 GMC pickup. I had used other glass shops in town but hadn't been happy with their work. My appointment at Mo Glass was for 8:00am. When I scheduled the appointment, I was told that it would take two hours; one hour to replace the windshield and one hour for it to dry enough for the vehicle to be safely driven. At 10:00am I was on my way back home. They did a clean, professional job replacing the windshield. It looks great. They guarantee their work so even if something should go wrong, which I doubt it will, they'll fix it. I like to be able to wait while my car is being worked on. That way I don't have to have someone drive me back and forth and when the work is done, it's done. I was able to move along with the many other activities I had planned for the day. Once again, Mo Glass has come through for me. I highly recommend this glass shop. Give them a try --- you'll be very pleased.
