I emailed to find out if they had bikes available, and received a prompt, positive reply from the owner, Petra (who speaks great English). They offered to deliver the bikes to our hotel, but we were driving around so decided to go to them. Petra and her husband Paolo could not have been more helpful, kind and patient with us. We decided on their suggestion to rent E-bikes, which were very fun and extended our range a great distance. They gave us written directions for two long rides, which were very clear and detailed. Paolo came to our hotel to retrieve the bikes. These are very knowledgable and honest people. I cannot recommend them highly enough

The owner, Massimo, is absolutely the nicest man you will ever meet. Our guide, Valentina, was the best. She is very passionate about ecology and Tuscany. The included lunch in a local cafe was a highlight. The local cheese and meats were fabulous. The E-bikes were so nice in the rolling hills. You can also just rent bikes and do a self-guided tour. You must email them to arrange your ride; there is no on-line link on the website to reserve a trip. Massimo wants to arrange a trip just for you.

We called up to see if…read morerenting e-bikes was possible from our rented apartment in Certaldo and Massimo was so accommodating and delivered bikes to us and set us up on a wonderful tour from Certaldo to Montespertoli and back. We had so much fun that we called him and rented for a second day and went to San Gimignano and back on another gorgeous route. The e-bikes were in great shape with chargers, helmets, locks, and water bottles and saddle bags. Toscana by Bike is a great outfit and I highly recommend them. Massimo speaks English also so that made everything easy. The routes were on small roads with very little car traffic and we felt like we were the first people to ever discover Tuscany. Amazing!

The owner/repair guy trued my wheel in a red second, adjusted the brakes, and had me riding again after a meal of spaghetti and 2 glasses of wine at a nearby trattoria. Does cycling in Italy get any better? I don't think so! It's not crammed packed like some bike shops -- just a guy working his trade. But it's very cool.
