TL;DR - Lots of art to look and at or even buy.
We've attended the Buy Art Fair three years in a row, and on each occasion it's been set up in the old Granada Studios. You need a ticket to get in, which can be purchased on the door but if you get on their mailing list there are plenty of opportunities to get a free ticket in advance.
The format is pretty similar each year - a main concourse on side room of art for sale by various artists who've travelled from all over the country to attend. There's usually another room with more contemporary art, a lecture space, some catering, and an exhibition space.
This year the catering was Beastro, from the folks behind wonderful Bangers & Bacon, and Private White had set up a "pop up factory" for their brand.
It's always an interesting event to attend with lots to see, and this year's catering option was particularly good. There are exhibitions, tours and talks you can book on to but it's mostly about wandering around, looking at the art and meeting the artists. read more
