My daughter she's 3 year old she's being assets at the Artesia preschool development center and got her iep. She has been working with harbor regional center. She didn't qualify for the school so instead she's being put on the waiting list at the state preschool. At that time I was looking around to see what's best for her since she needs extra help in everything. She's delayed in a lot of things especially in speech wise. I found Lakewood Montessori had a tour with miss Jazmin at first she's good then she got offended that I texted too much about my daughter concern. She sent pictures to me which I like about my daughter doing. I reply back and said she knows how. :) she keep saying I text to much. Then my daughter kept getting sick so I inform them. Then she complain I text too much and worry too much. (Well no shit she's my child and she got Covid) Then last week she texted my husband because he came to the school with me to pick my daughter up. She then talk shit to my husband and said I need to stop worry and concern. Well of course my daughter has a delay learning and doesn't know how to feed herself and do a lot of things herself. You're a professional teacher but not professional enough to teach kids that need the extra help. She told me use the pictures I sent to see if my daughter knows the name of her friends. Well I did that she don't know the names of her friends. They're very expensive potty training I paid $150 and they're not doing anything at all. The school itself cost around $1100. Plus material fees and pizza party. Omg they even charge for pizza LOLOL I don't think I will be taking my daughter here anymore as you can see. Is already drama miss Jazmin causing drama to my family while my husband is busy working and she act like he cares. At a public school if the parents is concerned about their child education the teachers are more professional when a parent is asking question. This school is not professional enough every time I asked both Ms Jazmin and Ms erash they tell me not to worry and my daughter is fine. I also asked them what she learn today because my daughter is still speech delay. They don't tell me. Save the trouble if you want better education and teacher for your child, especially kids that need more help this school is not it. Parents can't even ask questions they get annoyed. public school abc school district is totally different. Edit: thank you for giving the refund back to us but my review still stands because this school is not specialized enough to kids who needs the special help. They might have over 25 years of experienced but not experienced enough in other criteria. Thank you for teaching my daughter for about one month she did learn a lot until I wanted to see how's she doing everyday. My parents when I was in school, they also asked the teachers how her child was doing. It's normal to ask and concern. And this school does not potty train they will charge $150 but they won't potty trained your kids.

We are so pleased with our girls' time here at Lakewood Montessori. We researched so many schools…read moreand had a good feeling about this one after our first meeting with Ms. Jasmine and Ms. Eresh. Our oldest started here a few months after she turned 2 years old. With my first child starting school, I was so nervous. My daughter is very attached to us and she would cry at drop off for a good month. Ms. Jasmine reassured me that they are very used to and understanding of this and it doesn't matter if it takes 2 months, they will work with her. They eased my daughter into everything at her pace. Even with potty training, they did not make me feel that she had to be potty trained at 2 years old. When we all agreed my daughter was ready, they helped us and had my daughter potty trained in one week. I am so grateful for that. My biggest concern was making sure my daughter was loved, cared for and felt safe. And I have no concerns about that with Ms. Jasmine and Ms. Eresh. On top of that, the learning and her growth in writing, math, reading was beyond what I could have imagined. I am so impressed and pleased. My youngest joined the class a few months ago and they helped us with the sibling transition. Again, they work with my youngest at her pace. She loves reading, singing and dancing with them. We are forever grateful.

The teachers are all very kind and loving and work with you to address your child's individual needs. Mrs. Luyben and the school leadership anre also excellent at communicating about special days, activities, school needs, and new experiences for the kids. The school offers fun after school activity days at least 2x each month, and they celebrate most holidays in creative ways. I have also been really impressed with the quality of the art projects, playtime, and learning of basic letters, numbers, and shapes. I also want to note that, even though it is a Christian preschool and associated with the LVCC church, and we are non-Christians (but people of faith), I never felt pressure nor excessive Christian messaging. There was always a nice respectful balance of lovely Bible quotes and prayers, while respecting that our family was not Christian. The faith-based preschool is really expressed in their love and honoring of the sacredness of childhood. Which I love! I am grateful that LVCC Preschool was my kids' first experience with school! Definitely worth checking out for anyone looking for a kind, warm, creative, play-based preschool experience for their little!

Sending little ones to school for the first time can be scary for everyone but LVCC Preschool always met my kids (and us parents) where we were at. They quelled any fears, adjusted to any regressions, but most of all - made everything so fun! I will be sad when my littlest has moved on to big kid school but will always think of their preschool years so fondly because of the family at LVCC.

The foundation he built at Arc en Ciel was incredible -- socially, academically, and especially with his Spanish. He still spends time with the friends he made there, and he always loved going to school. Our youngest is almost 3, and even though he misses going with his big brother, he loves it just as much. His Spanish vocabulary is growing so quickly, and it's amazing to see how confident he's becoming. The teachers are truly exceptional -- nurturing, communicative, patient, and so intentional with the learning environment they create. We always felt our kids were safe, supported, and cared for. We highly recommend Arc en Ciel Preschool and are genuinely grateful for the time our family has spent there. It has made such a positive impact on both of our boys.

Our daughter didn't want to leave! She got in line with the big kids and followed along like she already went there. Even after touring other schools, she kept saying she wanted to go back to "the first one." It's been a year now, and we're so happy with our choice. She's thriving both academically and socially, and the dual immersion program has been amazing. They have so many activities including: painting, gardening, circle time, trunk or treat, jog a thon, a carnival and so much more. We LOVE Ms. Melanie and Ms. Susana, and Ms. Charlotte is such an attentive and responsive director. There are others including Ms. Maribel and Ms. Drea that aren't our daughter's teachers, but they are kind and sweet. The whole team is awesome which makes it a great place to be. We honestly wish the school went through elementary we'd stay forever!

We recently moved him to TK at a private school and his new teachers have been impressed with his ability, advancement, and independency. We know this was all due to his time at Play Pen Montessori. While attending, he met many amazing little friends which he is still very connected to. Mrs. Kamini checks in to see how John is adapting to his new school and truly cares, loves, and misses him. This is meaningful to us as parents! A day at Play Pen Montessori: Drop-Off commences at 7am. They have breakfast at 9am when most kids have arrived. They focus on teaching, reading, playtime, and activities until lunch time around 11:30am-12noon. (Summer Fridays: Water days), nap time from 1pm-3pm, snack and drinks after, more activities, playtime until pick- up time which ends at 5pm. Currently, we have our baby girl attending Play Pen. She began at 6 months old and is thriving within all her development stages. They communicate with us in regards to her changes and we work together to come up with new routines for her as she continue to grows. Most importantly, we have been very comfortable and at ease knowing our kids are/were safe with Mrs. Kamini. Play Pen Montessori is an amazing daycare/preschool. Highly, highly recommended!

I love that they post the lesson plan so you can reinforce the learning at home. There is a lot of communication through the Class Dojo app and postings at school. He also was potty trained fully in 2 months which I was more than happy to pay the extra $25-30 a week for that guidance. They have fun activities like field trips, Christmas recitals, special guests like firemen, dentists, etc. He LOVES his teachers, Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Khalifa and we do too! They really understand each child and their personality nuances. I can share what is happening at home and they help guide and reinforce behavior changes at school. It takes a village to raise a child and I'm so thankful to have Oakwood Academy as part of mine!
