I saw denim from Citizens, Hudson and Seven for all Mankind, dresses and tops from Glam, Tart and Ella Moss, dainty display of affordable jewelry and a small selection of shoes from Sam Edelman. The day I trotted in Lavendar, the nice employee informed me that they were having a 30% sale on all denim. Scooooooore! The racks are nicely laid out and there's even a solid sale section to peruse the sweet marked down goodies. I brought in items that matched what they said they were looking for, but it didn't seem like my items were looked through very thoroughly. It made me question whether racial bias may have played a part in how my items were reviewed and fairly considered for purchase. I also noticed that the overall style of the store isn't versatile. From what was on the racks, it was pretty easy to tell the specific look and type of seller they seem to prefer buying from.

She suggested I go to the alteration place next to Brooklyn Boys. Umm no. This isn't an alteration issue. It's a quality issue. This was the first time I'd been to Britique and I spent $151.
