I organized a Pride-themed staff party and I wanted to have it catered by a queer / LGBTQ - owned business. Butch Salads came highly recommended by someone I trust on food-related matters and so I reached out to them. I'm super pleased with everything that Hanne and Rachel - the small but mighty team behind this little venture - put on.
The food was delicious - below is the menu we decided on. (The venue I hosted the party at didn't have a kitchen so all food had to be prepared offsite.)
To Start:
- Seasonal crudités & flatbread crisps served with;
- Beetroot borani with greek yoghurt & dill (V)
- Globe artichoke, white bean, lemon & parsley (Ve)
To Follow:
- Grilled paprika chicken with aioli served with herby green salad (GF)
- Jerk butternut squash served with mango slaw (Ve) (GF)
- Grilled prawns with lemongrass, chilli & coriander served with glass noodle
salad (GF)
Served with:
- Heirloom tomatoes, kalamata, red onion & oregano (Ve) (GF)
- Green rice with mixed roasted peppers & chilli feta dip (GF) (V)
- Sourdough bread & butter (V)
To Finish:
- Burnt Basque cheesecake (V) (GF)
- Exotic fruit salad with mint & sumac (Ve)
