Don't know what you've got till its gone…read more I have recently moved away from Kansas City with my dog and I've been trying to find a new dog walker for my pup and Amy at Four Leg Stretch has made it extremely hard on me because she set the bar SO HIGH. Amy and Marie walked my dog from the 2nd day I had her at home until the day I moved away from Kansas City and they are by far 10x better of anyone else out there. Not only does she love animals, but she also does a great job reinforcing the positive behaviors that we as pet owners try so hard to instill in our little angels :-). On top of that, Amy is also the consummate business person: 1) her team is on time, every time 2) she is extremely professional in her approach to the business side of the relationship: showed proof of insurance, offers flexible payment terms instead of just taking a check, and she treats all of her clients with the utmost respect But most of all, she gives you the peace of mind EACH AND EVERY DAY that your pet is being cared for the way you would yourself, and she sends a personalized text message with a visit recap and a picture of your little bundle of joy. I used to look forward to those text everyday. If you live in the KC area, and you need a dog walker and you don't hire Amy, you are not giving your pet the best they could get, so stop looking around and call Four Leg Stretch. Take it from a pet owner that is having an extremely difficult time finding someone that can meet the standards of pet care that Amy made me accustomed to. Amy, Elphie misses you!

She gets nervous when people come into the home and I'm not there which makes pet sitting a challenge - so much so that she was fired as a client by the service I used in Chicago. Enter Newman's. Not only are both sitters, Emma and Christine, lovely people, they handled Edna in stride. They are awesome about sending texts after every visit and give me updates and details so it never feels like they're just checking a box. Christine has been our go-to and she's just awesome...noticing things like new food bowls and finding nice things to say about my salty Edna. I always look forward to her texts when I'm away. The owner, Jena responds to requests immediately (even when she's on vacation) and never has a problem with last-minute schedule changes. Overall, the level of service is truly exceptional - I highly recommend Newman's if you're looking for someone to take amazing care of your pets while you're away.

Julie found that he had gotten out of his cone and demolished it and had been licking at it. They called me and let me know and even stayed with the dogs as I sped home. I wouldn't use anyone else. She LOVES going to Gia's and goes crazy when we ask her if she's ready for her spa day. They always take such great care of her and even allowed my wife to come pick her up on her lunch breaks when she had an office job. The deshedding works so well and they do a great job with her nails (which are next to impossible to do at home --with a Dremel tool) because most of her quicks are black. Last year, we adopted a border collie/Australian cattle dog mix. He is kinda shy at times and initially had problems even going into Gia's. She and her staff were so accommodating and they had us just do a few visits to the front so that he could get used to the sights and smells (and of course he was rewarded with plenty of treats)! One he was used to the inside, they slowly started working him in at the end of the day (or when there was a gap between clients) so he wouldn't have to stay in the kennel due to his anxiety. He's gotten so much better... and while he still can't get the full services our other dog does, he's done so much better and can now get a bath and his nails trimmed. They have been so great working with him! Gia's also has the best products. From food, treats, toys, and accessories, they are all vetted by Gia herself. If you buy something there, you can bet it's one the safest and best products around. Everyone in the shop is fantastic. Highly recommend!

This pet concierge service is Muttmama's passion!…read more In the last six months, I have used Muttmama concierge service continuously five days a week for noon-time let outs. This has made the dogs and the cat very happy and this owner very happy. I get an update on their status and, from time-to-time, pictures of them texted to me. Muttmama has been a pet taxi shuttling dogs and cats to the vet to the groomers. This service is important to me so my pets are not stuck in a kennel all day. I use Muttmama for many overnight stays when I travel. These are especially 'interesting' as I have a dog with special needs - his diet and medications are very regimented and my other option is to leave him with the vet. When I approached Muttmama about this and explained what needs to be done, when, and why, she understood and accepted the assignment without hesitation. Muttmama's helped me have peace of mind about my pets when traveling overnight.

He isn't a bad dog, but his behavior became a big problem. We took him to see the vet who referred us to Kristyn at Beyond the Dog. Kristyn was able to quickly diagnose our dog's behavioral issues on her first visit and develop a treatment plan. We worked together for several months to improve his reactions and reduce his fears of these situations. While he has never fully overcome his fears, we have noticed a tremendous amount of improvement using the methods Kristyn taught us. Beyond the dog, Kristyn helped us to understand that the behavioral issues were not our fault, which was extremely reassuring. Before working with her, we felt like those parents... The ones whose child is out of control and everyone thinks how terrible the parents must be. We tried everything we could think of, but in the end it was Kristyn's creative approach that worked best. Beyond the Dog is expensive at $120 per visit, but it was well worth it to have Kristyn come to our house and work with our dog and us one-on-one. I don't think we'd have seen the improvements had we worked in a group setting. I would like to continue to work with Kristyn to maintain and build on what we have already learned.
