The Kunafa Crepe is by far one of my new favorite desserts! We walked in to get a quick bite to eat! The menu is huge and legit has anything you can image on it. The dessert waffles on display caught my attention. As I pointed them out to my wife a male employee or owner pointed out a plate and said, "try the kunafa, it's a Turkish dessert. You must try the kunafa crepe. It's mind blowing." So without hesitation we ordered the kunafa crepe and a lamb gyro! When the crepe came out be explained that the kunafa has cheese on the inside and it covered in a crispy crust drizzled with honey. Then wrapped in a crepe which is drizzled with white chocolate and pistachios! I took one bite of the crepe and knew I would be back soon to get another!! The crepe is perfectly cooked and the crispy cheese filled inside is so light and perfect! Mind blowing was a description of this dessert. It was hard for me to start eating my gyro until I took the first bite which solidified my rerun back to this restaurant! Everything we ate was delicious and the service was too notch! Don't sleep on Busy Boy at all. You will be missing out

Every part of the philly sandwich tasted fresh and delicious! The portion was also pretty big so I had it for lunch and dinner :) I also tried their crispy chicken sandwich which was also delicious and not like your average crispy chicken sandwiches. I would highly recommend asking for some sides of their garlic sauce and especially trying it with their fries

Amazing and flavorful food, service was so kind and friendly, and lots of seating for people to enjoy in a clean cafe environment. The cheesesteak is delicious and the sauces go so well with the flavors! The chicken shawarma was soft and juicy. A must visit when in Houston, especially if you are shopping in the Hillcroft area!

Chicken Shawarma Wrap (Combo) $14.07

I'm usually not in the is part of town, but I always try to get some good Middle Eastern or Indian food since there are so many great options over here. Busy Boy popped up in my Yelp app and had great reviews. The ambiance is sparse, it has the charm of a McDonalds from the 1980s. Strike one right out of the gate: Pepsi products and most of two of them were out. Ice tea was not brewed; it was the one that tastes straight up like chemicals that comes out of the machine. I went with the shawarma wrap combo. Fries were okay, but over seasoned. The shawarma had a decent amount of meat, but had a fishy taste to it. This was definitely a waste of a shawarma in this part of town since there are always so many great options over there. If you insist on coming here, the guy at the next table ordered the shawarma platter and looked way better. Will I go back? Not highly likely, gonna try one of the other highly rated or friend recommended ones this side of town. After 13 years of using Yelp, it failed me only for the third time.

Thanks to Vinh's reminder on the timing of my visit to Busy Boy Grill and Cafe. I was here during Ramadan in a Saturday's early afternoon. Don't laugh. I have never had Shawarma in my life. Count my blessings to try this Middle Eastern food for the first time. Many people already have their own favorite shawarma restaurants. I'm really a rookie when I saw the big chunk of meat on the vertical turning rotisserie oven. In Mexico, this rotisserie meat cooking method is called al pastor. But at Busy Boy... Someone please tell me the difference between gyro and shawarma. Because I was hungry. A line employee couldn't answer my question. So, I waited for the cashier. Not sure if I pronounced gyro right. But he said gyro is the meat from the kitchen while shawarma meat is from the vertical turning oven in the front. Sounds good. Time to eat. So, I ordered a shawarma wrap with both beef and chicken. He upgraded my order to meal deal for $3.50 more. I got a bottomless drink and a potato salad. Meat was tender but a little salty for my taste bud. The wrap and veggies were fresh. I had no more room for salad at that point. I really wanted to try the ice cream next door, or just across the hall. But it appeared to be closed. The best part was the clean restaurant and flexible seating. Looks like I could have a party here.

You've got to try the crispy chicken sandwich. This is the best chicken sandwich in Houston. The sauce is soooo good and the chicken is crispy On top of the food, the service is amazing. The owner once helped my sister and I on the phone while we were lost to get to the location and then made us new, hot sandwiches because we got lost. That sort of service does not come around often and we will keep coming back!

My wife and I loved everything we tried. The mixed shawarma plate with beef and chicken was great, she picked Greek salad and taboli as her 2 sides, both tasty. I enjoyed and barely shared a kufta kabob wrap, I barely shared 'cause she had more than she could eat. We went back to the counter and scored a couple topnotch coffee drinks. She got and loved a dark chocolate frape with no whipped cream on top, I had to try the cheese cake milk shake, loved it. Mine was sweeter than hers and disappeared first, both were definitely worth getting again. Friendly counter service and great food....we'll be back.

The perfect spot for a casual lunch! Clean place, plenty of seating, great service, delicious food! I tried the crispy chicken wrap and my mom ordered the grilled chicken panini. Both were fresh and sooo good! I was so excited to try it, I almost forgot to take pics of the food! Everything is halal too.

Stumbled across this place by accident. To my surprise it was definitely no coincidence. I love great food and great service and I found those things plus more here. Very accommodating, extremely friendly staff, very attentive, the food was amazing, nice and clean, and very spacious! The food was so good I forgot to take pictures except towards the end. Recommended spot!

It had great Persian vibe including music played. Food and drinks: Very good selection of traditional dishes that were not westernised as in other Persian restaurants. Pinch of sumac which was available on each table was a perfect addition to our dishes. Highly recommend hot Persian tea. Pricing: $$ - very affordable for the quality and quantity of foods received.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

My recent visits here consisted of a Gyros Plate with rice, Hamburger with uncut tomatoes n pickles…read more& lemon potatoes and Greek Spaghetti Meat Sauce on Sunday Special. All 3 meals were really flavorful, good quality, really well-seasoned, very juicy and so delicious. The gyros and burger are without question imo the best in TX. Ekko's and Nick The Greek are 2nd n 3rd for Greek food for me. I always got the gyros sandwich as opposed to the plate before which is odd bc I always prefer meat plates over sandwich form in other foods like bbq, steak, etc. The meat pieces were all really tasty and had some slight char to them too. The taziki sauce is always cold, creamy in feel and refreshing with a good yogurt aroma to it. It's a great bonus and the gyros didn't even need it tbh. The tomatoes were nicely refreshing and the exotic, cool center dolma is always a little treat with meals here. The rice and chunky lemon potatoes with my meals were always mild but still great in texture and prep. As I said before; from my experiences in every single Greek cafe, if the taziki sauce is good, the gyros will be too. It's a solid symptom and indicator imo. As for the burger, very rarely are burger places only in TX actually any good for the past 15 years. So many are just average or below lacking seasoning or a great overall flavor. Niko Niko's, Goode Company Hamburgers and TX Hamburger Palace are my top 3 in that order for it. Each different too. The brioche buns were just the right thickness and very soft to make the beef patty stick out well. The patty was so nice in charbroiled taste, saltiness, richness, beefiness and tender in every bite. A good burger doesn't need much in toppings, but cool, refreshing, tomatoes are a must for me and pickles add some tangy crunch too. For steak rare, but for a burger medium to medium rare. I had never seen or heard of their Greek Spaghetti n Meat Sauce before. This was like a Greek Bolognese with a lot of love in its flavor. The noodles were drained, very moist and so soft. I don't like too much cheese, so I took some off, but still like some. The meat sauce gravy itself was really flavorful, savory, fatty enough and had that subtle sweet, warm spice aroma you get in the Greek lasagna. I like to get dessert here sometimes when I have extra room, bc they have some great options like their galaktobourreko, chocolate ganache cake, etc. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient on these visits.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.
