Little Folks Dude Ranch - Her classroom.

I enrolled my child earlier this month of October 2021. They where very nice and filled me in on…read morewhat they where doing as far as activities, what classroom, teacher, and how their program works. I did go after 5pm to be able to take a tour of the place. They offer afterschool child care services until 6pm. They do charge for late pickup fee and a one time enrollment fee and supply fee (if the parents don't buy the supplies). There is also a matt fee for the little ones that take naps. Ypu need to provide diapers and wipes for a smaller child. A carseat is also requested for the ones that need to be picked up from school that still require carseats. My child is turning 2 at the end of the year and when asked about potty training, they said they don't force it on the child, only when he or she is ready to go on their own. My little one immediately familiarized herself with her surroundings. Her first week attending was great! So much so that she didn't want to come home. She has a blast every time she goes. She has had a few incidents like running into things or falling but they do treat her accordingly. They do have an incident report filled out and the parent has to sign it. She is a toddler, so falling and such are normal for her. She doesn't pay attention where she goes at times and that happens. But all in all, I can say I feel at ease leaving my child in this daycare while I am at work. The cost is pretty standard and regulations also for a daycare here in San Angelo. The only thing i don't like is the parking lot. Because of the construction that's going on in the area, it can be a hassle to get to the daycare. Oh and pick up and drop off is always done right outside the daycare and sign in as well due to covid. When it rains they do put out a tent out.

I didnt want to have to leave a review but since child services couldnt get an answer either and…read morecould do nothing i feel like i have to warn parents myself. At first glance the facility seemed fine a bit unorganized but nothing to alert me. My first "red flag" i noticed was when i went to pick up my one hear old and her teacher said she was in a different class, went ti the different class, not there either, said she was in another class, not there either. I had to verbally ask them to help me find my kid. We found her in a room with ALL THE LIGHTS TURNED OFF, door shut with another teacher i had never met! And no one knew she was with!! I should have pulled her out then. A month or two after that i pick her up and she is in a different outfit and i was told a kid scratched her. I look to see a gash on her face. I get home and at the very BOTTOM of her diaper bag in a plastic bag is her shirt with blood smeared on it. The VERY NEXT DAY. Same kid hurt her again (so i was told) . Scratches all over her face and a BUSTED LIP i got 3 different stories with this incident. Story 1: he grabbed her by the ponytail and pulled her down (doesnt explain the numerous scratches all over her face). Story 2. They were standing in line and he hurt her (she couldnt walk yet, so that made no sense). Story 3. He pulled her off the play house they had in the room. Again doesnt explain the numerous scratches on her face. The amount if damage this apparent other ONE year old caused either had to of been attacking her for a long while (neglect off staff) or that simply didnt happen. They refused to let me see the camera footage at all. And after asking around this is NOT an isolated incident.

Best day care ever! Super clean. Best teachers. New owners have really done a fantastic job. Just…read morelike any daycare there are different things you ask for your child and they will work with you to get it done. If I have a problem or question it's addressed immediately, the problem never comes back. They replaced the floors, painted some color inside, brand new state of the art cameras, and last but not least brand new play ground for the kiddos. I wouldn't have my kid go anywhere else. Fantastic place!

When my son first started here it was great. The infant caregivers were always amazing and my son…read moreloved going to daycare. As he got older we started running into more and more issues. He was being bit constantly and scratched. He would come home with deep bite marks on his back and it seemed nothing was ever done. It is understandable that toddlers do not quite know to not bite yet, but the biggest issue was that they seemed to pick and choose who got sent out of daycare for biting. My son learned to bite at daycare and it is hard to teach a 2 year old to not bite but after he bit a child they said he had to be out for 2 weeks. My son just barely turned 2, he does not know any better and sending him out for 2 weeks is extremely excessive. I can understand picking him up from daycare the day of the incident but 2 weeks is ridiculous for a kid. Having him leave for 2 weeks is not going to teach him anything. On top of being out for 2 weeks we still would have had to pay the daycare for the time he was gone as well as either miss work or try to pay someone else to watch our son. Also about a month ago I got a call that my son apparently fell in the classroom and cut his eyebrow open on a bookshelf. We took him to urgent care and he got it glued. I understand accidents happen but we took him to daycare the next day and I get another call the he "fell" again and hit the spot right under where his eye got glued. How does the same thing happen twice in less that 24 hours? Some things just seem very off at that daycare and I would advise finding another daycare if possible.
