With the two prior companies, I received very inconsistent service and felt like a number versus a customer. Most importantly, my pool water didn't look clean and appealing, rather it was green with algae for week after week, despite treatment. My experience with Sam and Aquatec has been completely different. Sam personally took on the challenge of converting my pool from a green mess to its current state clean and beautiful state. Since the initial clean-up, Sam has personally kept the pool looking great. Sam has a lot of knowledge and experience with Florida pools. Sam has been responsive, dependable, professional and personable. It is obvious that he takes pride in his work and isn't satisfied himself unless my pool looks great. I am comforted in knowing that I can deal directly with the owner of the company if I ever have a problem. I know that if I call him, he will return my call. I haven't had any problems, but it is good to know that I will be dealt with as a person and customer. I recommend Sam and Aquatec highly. It will be a positive experience that will be a huge improvement over many of the other pool companies in the area.

I was…read moreassured that his process would eliminate the weeds that periodically grew between the pavers on my pool deck for at least 5 years and that there was a 2 year warranty on his work. This year I had more weeds than I'd ever seen growing between my pavers so I got Frederick out to look at it and schedule an appointment to rectify the problem. When Frederick arrived for the appointment and realized that he was going to have to redo the pool deck he first started to say that the reason this didn't work was due to my dogs having access to the pool deck and that their defecation and pee caused the problem even though they never did either at the end of the deck with the major weed growth was evident. Then he wanted to charge me again because he was taking a day off to honor his 2 year guarantee. I agreed to pay him half of what he wanted, to which he agreed, and I thought he went off to begin working on my deck. Instead he came back and wanted my check for the amount he was charging me. When I told him my word was good, that I've never stiffed a vendor, he told me again that he had taken a day off to correct his problem, that I could put a negative remark on social media which I never discussed or threaten him with and ended up driving off. My wife's brother owns a landscaping company in Ohio so she called him for options on correcting the problem. That's when we learned that the reason we were having the weed problem was because Frederick used plain sand between the pavers and used the sealer he applied to the pavers to seal the sand between the pavers. According to my brother-in-law this always results in the continuation of weeds growing between the pavers. It also is the cheapest way to ensure durability and weed prevention between pavers. What he should have used was polymeric sand between the pavers to ensure long term durability and weed prevention. The polymeric sand doesn't cost much more than plain sand and is as easy to apply as plain sand. The problem comes from the fact that the polymeric sand must cure for 28 days before you can apply the sealer to the pavers which means the vendor must visit the job site twice to do it right. So most vendors cut corners to avoid the second application. My brother-in-law talked us through applying the polymeric sand and sealer as he thought it was easy enough for us to do ourselves. We started out power washing the sand out of all of the pavers on our deck which is where we discovered huge portions of our deck that were never covered with sealer. Another quality indicator of Frederick's workmanship.

My communication/interaction with Ed has been over the phone and email. I feel that if I have any concerns, they will be promptly addressed. I was put in contact with Azure by our pool maintenance service - for a review of the health of our 14 yr old pool. Not surprisingly we had a crack in our liner that let to the re-lining of our pool. Ed's appraisal was thorough and honest on all aspects of our pool and lanai. He thoroughly answered all questions that I had and I appreciate answers that address logic and long term solutions. Throughout the process there was great communication. So much so, that he called letting me know of questionable work by another vendor. In todays world of lackluster customer service, when you run into decent service it really stands out. Azure certainly stands out, and I would highly recommend them.

I paid for the water and they filled the pool without cleaning it, including cigarettes ends and 1/2 of mud and debris. The owner said don't worry it will clean itself. Of course that cost them a filter and the pool cleaner was missing his mind. They didn't make good the outside of the construction I had to pay a stucco guy. The didn't make good the garden area that was trampled. The HOA made Eddie the owner come and pick up all the building bricks etc. The power wash guy was sent after the pool was filled. Not good and he told me that he had told the crew to clean up all the cement splashes on the pool cage and spa. They didn't do that. The new lighting didn't work correctly that too from Mid November to End of Feb to fix. So many excuses while this was being done. The tiles were not straight (the original tiles which the same company installed are perfect). Also everything was stained. After many calls they did come to clean the tiles and did a good job. They replace maybe 10% of the tiles that were installed on a slope or uneven or not in line with coping. I called again. Julie who always answered and is very good promises to pass a message to the boss Eddie. Nothing, called again. Today we tried and Eddie called, threw Julie under the bus and said she never asked him to call until today. Anyway I said the timing is still a mess and nowhere near as good as your original job a year ago. He said I have no legal rights, and he isn't going to replace any tiles. He claimed he saw it and it looks great. I said BS. He then gets his panties in a bunch and said if I don't stop cursing he will put the phone down. I said I didn't curse no F bomb etc and saying his crazy statement was BS is not cursing. I offered for him to come and look at it with me and if a spirit level says I am wrong I'll shake his hand and say no more. He put the phone down and refused to answer my call. As you can see from a few photos the job is diabolical. I see the reply by the owner, a lot of which is inaccurate and mostly very untrue. The I have never reviewed the coping or tile with Eddie the owner ever. Throwing his employee under the bus shows the character of this guy and his 101 excuses and never owning up to anything shows his lack of integrity. The pictures tell the story, period. Anyone who is interested in researching this company for possible hiring are very welcome to come and view the "finished" product and the lack of quality Eddie adheres to. I live in Estero and any time is convenient. I am not going to get in to a tit for tat with words, I don't need to as the pictures tell a thousand words.
