Your friendly…read moreneighbourhood newsagent sells stationary, gift wrap, greeting cards and the largest selection of papers and magazines take up 1/3 of the shop. Chances are if it's not in this shop then the paper/magazine you're after isn't going to be in Seaton Delaval. Being so close to the school, it gets bombarded with kids stocking up on sweets. The card selection is limited and you won't find bargains but it's handy to have at your door step none the less. Friendly enough staff who sell the odd winning scratch card.

Newsagency stocking a range of papers and magazines. Will order a particualr magazine in for you if you ask. Also an offlicence selling a range of wines, beers and spirits. Many lines are kept in a chiller cabinet so it doesn't matter if you just rush out at the last minute - your drink will be chilled. Lots of food items. Bread is delivered there regualrly and is always reasonably fresh. There are freezers keeping basic lines such as oven chips, fish fingers, ice cream in addition to a range of speciality Indian frozen dishes. In addition to the above you will also find cleaning materials, fire lighters and all sorts of things you would not expect to find in a small village store. Service is good and the shop is always clean and tidy. Perhaps the greatest downfall is parking. The street is busy and quite narrow for the volume of traffic it takes. Local resident complain of people parking across theri drive ways - and rightfully so. It is part of a chain which often runs very good offers. It is wroth always checking out the specials when you are there as there are some good deals to be had.

It's run by an older couple who are always friendly so you trust that the sweets without wrappers have been dealt with clean hands.
