Chances are if it's not in this shop then the paper/magazine you're after isn't going to be in Seaton Delaval. Being so close to the school, it gets bombarded with kids stocking up on sweets. The card selection is limited and you won't find bargains but it's handy to have at your door step none the less. Friendly enough staff who sell the odd winning scratch card.

Located next to a few other shops this mills is very handy for the local housing estates and is…read moreknown as the top shop. Unfortunatly it is also very close to St Thomas More school. During term time, the entrance to the shop is very crowded over lunch time and hometime. It can be quite nerving having to walk through that many children to get to the shops. The shop itself has just recently had a make over including a cash point outside (it does charge for withdrawals though). You can buy newspapers, magazines and the lottery in the shop but you can also get many of your essential food items. And unlike most corner shops some of the offers beat the offers in larger supermarkets. As for car parking there is space for around 10 cars outside the shop, but if you can't find a space there is always space on the surrounding streets. The staff are polite and friendly but often rushed off their feet as the shop always seems to be busy.

The only thing is, as with lots of chain newsagents, the price is a little steep. Also during term time the shop is very busy, not only before and after school, but during also, when the 6th formers have free periods. As long as your not intimidated by kids you'll feel fine (the kids from that school are harmless anyway, and even if not theres CCTV just outside)

Newsagency stocking a range of papers and magazines. Will order a particualr magazine in for you if you ask. Also an offlicence selling a range of wines, beers and spirits. Many lines are kept in a chiller cabinet so it doesn't matter if you just rush out at the last minute - your drink will be chilled. Lots of food items. Bread is delivered there regualrly and is always reasonably fresh. There are freezers keeping basic lines such as oven chips, fish fingers, ice cream in addition to a range of speciality Indian frozen dishes. In addition to the above you will also find cleaning materials, fire lighters and all sorts of things you would not expect to find in a small village store. Service is good and the shop is always clean and tidy. Perhaps the greatest downfall is parking. The street is busy and quite narrow for the volume of traffic it takes. Local resident complain of people parking across theri drive ways - and rightfully so. It is part of a chain which often runs very good offers. It is wroth always checking out the specials when you are there as there are some good deals to be had.

There is always a lot of new stock: they sell all things expected of this type of store, newspapers and magazines, sweets, smokers products, some essential household items and assorted others! There is a wide range of sweets for kids to get excited about! The staff are really competent here and do a great job running a busy store. They are also friendly and have great inerpersonal skills, so much so you feel like you really know them well when you visit the store.
