Truly beautiful in the fall, and parking was super easy right in front of the cemetery gate! The cemetery is next to an old church, and the headstones right up front are beautifully maintained... gleaming white with placards indicating the historical figures buried as well as the stone carvers who crafted the headstones. I learned a surprising amount about Vermont history just reading all of the placards throughout the cemetery. There are many family plots of some of Vermont's founding fathers and war heroes. We also enjoyed reading some of the old headstones for interesting quotes. There are many signs directing to Robert Frost's family site which is tucked in a back corner under a small tree. This place is definitely worth a visit.

We got a bird's eye view of the fall foliage as you could see the White Mountains, the Green Mountains, and New York State. Quite impressive. Of course you can read about the historic significance of this battle that occurred during the American Revolutionary War. There's a gift shop/ticket office and restrooms.

It on its own circular lot with plenty of parking to stroll around and take some photos. There is an exhibit inside for free on the monument and $8 to go to the top to see the panoramic view of VT, MA, and NY. They don't open until 10 am, but we got there early and were chilling, and they opened up about twenty minutes early for us, which was cool. There is a nice gift shop and a bathroom. The views were nice! The employee who opened the obelisk gave us some information on the monument and was very friendly. This was on our route and was worth the stop. It doesn't take a long time, but it's a nice bit of American history honoring the American Revolution.

It's pet friendly and a great place to come alone, or with friends and or family. Where else can you have a picnic as well as shop nearby? I also highly recommend stopping into the Saratoga History Museum located in the Canfield Casino right inside the park. It's a very interesting place to spend an hour or so. A must do when you're in town!!!

It is a genesis and source of the 1.2 million organization of 35,000 clubs throughout 200 countries around the world. Paul Harris lived two doors down in a beautiful colonial home. But this was one of his homes, the other one being in Racine WI. The schoolhouse became the site of the Wallingford Rotary Club. Decades later, the building was transferred to the Rotary District. While the inside is a historical treasure, the memorial gardens outside are amazing. It is a beautiful historical site.

Just came here for the first time on Saturday and we had a great time. They explain everything…read morepretty quickly so if you don't have a million questions or want to fight about how much the movies used to cost since you last went there the line can move pretty quick. The concession area is semi self serve which is nice because you can just grab what's available, pay, and head back without missing much. We got burgers and mozzarella sticks in between shows and there was still a good variety available at that time. Will definitely come back again.

If you like history/public affairs/governmental stuff...definitely worth a visit. I'm sure I'll be back in some capacity.

Eunice Williams, her husband Reverend John Williams, and five of their seven children were among those captured. As a captive unable to make the journey back to Canada, she was killed here on March 1. The covered bridge was built in 1972 to replace the 100-year-old covered bridge that had been destroyed by a fire set by vandals three years before on Halloween night in 1969. It is a single lane bridge and my Sprinter van would not fit. I parked illegally nearby, walked the bridge. Locals say that the bridge is haunted. I was here during the late afternoon hours when it was still light. I stood quietly on the bridge and listened. No ghosts appeared.
