Today is Thursday. My construction dumpster was supposed to be picked up on tuesday. I called in Wednesday to see what the problem was and was told the driver said the giant dumpster was moved. The dumpster wasn't moved and it was where the driver placed it last. I called later in the evening to find out why they still didn't dump it and an ***hole named Angelica answers and starts a debate with me about how a person can moved that dumpster and overtaking me with some sassy voice which made me have to get off my square with her. Then the fool backtracks and says the driver found the dumper but the sand was soft so he had trouble getting the truck in. This is a lie. There is an entrance with a locked gate that has soft sand but the main entrance has no issues. This is a new property we have been fixing up so there's all sorts of trucks there and I've been having construction dumpsters placed on the property since August 2023 when I bought it. So this fool Angelica tells me have the tenant call her. I called her immediately back with the tenant on the phone - my tenant is a woman who is 5'2" by the way, and this fool still maintains a weird debate about the tenant 'could have' moved the dumpster. The whole time the fool is talking to me like I'm her boyfriend in a dysfunctional relationship to the point I had to tell her to check her tone and watch how she was talking to me. I told her I want the days past tuesday prorated since they didn't pick up the trash and she told me no. Then told us a dumpster would be there tomorrow to dump the trash. I hung up on her because I was getting nowhere on the phone, apologize to my tenant for stepping off of my square and called my attorney and told her about what happened. He asked me if I recorded the conversation and I did not but he wanted pictures and wanted to see what they would do the next day. Thursday - today -9:40pm. My tenant text me when she gets home from work and tells me Burrtec still did not dump the trash. I asked her to take a video and that's what I will be posting below and giving to my attorney. This Angelica fool (And I'm being nice using that word) needs to be fired. And we'll be hitting up the Burtecc executive division tomorrow afternoon and we are looking for competitors if they are in barstow. There is no reason I should have to fight with someone who answers the phone about my trash on my property being dumped. The clowns even sent me a text today saving that I have my next bill coming up. Guess they will get their money with the same expediency and professionalism I am getting my trash dumped. read more

This is a terrible company to deal with. Drivers that don't give a shit and reps that answer the phone that are nasty and angry.

Why is it so hard to empty the trashcan ALL THE WAY?! This is the third time in the last two months that our cans still have trash in them! Figure it out! read more

11 weeks ago my business was required to get a "Recycling" bin at a cost of $11.96 per month. That is fine except Burrtec refuses to pick it up. In 11 weeks they have picked it up twice on their own and twice more when we called. The other times we called the have refused to pick it up. The phone answering person (You cannot call someone who provides no service a customer service person) cannot help. She states that there is only one person in the entire company that can deal with the issue and refund my company for service charges made when no service is received. "Jonathan" will return my call. That was Last week and again today. He doesn't actually do any work or call returning. What a "waste" in every sense of the word. I'm sorry that Apple Valley contracts with them. read more

I came to Burtec several times over two weeks to drop off recycling material and green waste. The directions were easy to follow and the facility was clean. The employees were helpful. We use Burtec since they have a contract with the city of Barstow to dispose of our trash. There is a communication issue between the city of barstow and burtec on what can be picked up beyond the weekly trash. Specifically, can a resident leave extra trash bags for pickup by Burtec. The city told us that extra trash bags can be picked up every week but Burtec says no. read more

Green waste bins are mandatory and cost extra yet they don't pick them up. Which then causes me to wait another few days or for the next week for pick up. It's all food waste sitting in 100° heat everyday. I've called and they said the driver has until 5pm that day to pick it up but they never show up. And I can't call to let them know at 5 because they're closed. read more

I have never had such a difficult time starting service for any kind of utilities in my life! I'm in my mid 60s. Thank This company demanded a copy of my closing statement for purchasing my home. I have sent them a copy via email twice and still no response. Considering other utilities like electricity and gas cost more per month than trash pick up, this is absolutely mind-boggling. I don't understand why it is so difficult to have your trash picked up here! Who knew that my biggest problem in moving to this state would be setting up trash pick up! This company raised their prices for the additional waste separation required by the state prior to customers actually getting the new trash bins. Then after two weeks and numerous complaints of trash not being picked up... no offer to reimburse the charges has been made. When I had a paper route at 9 years old I knew who my customers were and where they wanted their news papers placed. These are adults who can't seem to get their crap together. read more

Havent had pick up in 2 weeks called n was told that the driver reported our dumpster wasnt at the proper angel and to close to fence...which i complete BS. weve had pick up several times since Nov and not one problem also several other neighbors have cameras of truxks just driving by several times NOT picking up or doing their jobs!!! This company likes to charge people for services NOT rendered. In the mountain communities (Lake Arrowhead) they bill part time residents for garbage disposal par-timers don't use cause they're not there! I've had nothing but accommodating and professional interactions when I've had to call their receptionist. Even when our neighbors switched our trash cans because they missed the trash pickup, she was able to look at the log from that morning and see who did it then had them come back to make sure the trash got picked up so we didn't suffer with our neighbors trash. read more

I called on 6/13/18 to request bulky items be picked up. The woman I spoke to told me that they would be by between 6AM and 6PM 6/20/18. She made sure to let me know that it would be a different truck than my usual truck. 6/19/18 (with a severe sunburn causing me extreme discomfort) I moved 2 couches, a chair, heavy entertainment center and an end table to my driveway with the my sister and 12-year-old Niece. Wednesday comes and goes and nothing is picked up, I called VIctorville Recycles and spoke to the woman in charge of coordinating with Burrtec. She called them and returned my call within minutes, they have no excuse, but will be there by days end to get my items. By 5 PM the items still were not picked up. I called and was told they work until 7, and my items were on the list. They never got picked up. I called back this morning, and there was no excuse or apology given, I was just told that they would remind the driver to come by... if the stuff isn't gone by noon, I will be calling back to speak to a supervisor or higher. I am giving 1 Star because I couldn't give less than 1 otherwise it'd be negative 10 Stars. This kind of behavior is just unacceptable read more
