Save your breath & ibuprofen. After 3 months leaving messages on cell & company office line for the individual in excavation I finally received a call back. You guessed it, they are just too busy to take on any additional work at the present time. Good to know. Definitely would have helped knowing via a courtesy call or text 88 days earlier. chipped my windshield form a rock truck of theirs. I called 4 times in in the past month and followed their "protcol" to the letter every time. zero response- The man than answers the phone is beyond rude. I can't believe i use to be so proud to stand on one of their trucks during the Jamul parade. Their follow up service is indicative of the company they are solely based on facts and merit. Only gave a star because it is required. Total reckless drivers. I was cut off by one of their trucks as 3 of them were racing down hwy 52, They were probably trying to beat the other drivers to wherever they were going for their load. Easily doing 10+ over the speed limit. When I called in to complain about their drivers before telling her of what happened she told me, "those trucks look like they're going faster than they really are." I couldn't believe I was told that. I didn't have any truck #'s so she had no interest at all of what happened where or when. I even emailed them and got no response. Great reflection of their company. Stay out of their trucks way, they don't care and why would they, nothing is going to happen to them for it. read more

CUSTOMERS BE AWARE! As of 12/14/21 this company does not carry insurance. Their truck threw 2 rocks which damaged my bumper and my windshield. I was able to follow the truck and take photos of the truck and license plate. After filing a report with CHP, I was told Burns & Sons said their truck was not in the area at that time. Total lie, because I had the proof. My insurance paid except for my 1k deductible and is now trying to get the company to pay. They ignored the demand letter. Total amount owed insurance co is a bit over $4k including my deductible. Not a reputable business. read more

I called around and their dumpster was the right size for my demo job. the big companies dumpsters were to large for my needs and over 2x the price. So it was by far the best price I rec'd, and they dropped the same day I called. read more

I do not think this company places much emphasis on public safety. Last week I was cut off by a truck driver of theirs who treated a red light as a stop sign and made a Left turn in front of me on a 50 mph road. I had to slam on the brakes and change lanes to avoid an accident. I called the company and was only forwarded to a voicemail, I have received no response to my messages. read more

My review is, in part, subjective. However, the bulk of my words are as a result of an objective experience I had with Burns & Sons via their Dependable Disposal division. First, my brothers and I went to school with the Burns' kids when we were growing up in California. Subsequent to my family having moved to another state there were a substantial number of years which had passed before we had contact again. Back in 2009, and again in 2011, the Burns family went way beyond the call of duty and were among the most important contributing factors in making it possible for us to clean up my grandmother's rural property. Their drivers navigated some treacherous driving for trucks of that type, and even were able to get down into a very tight driveway and landing area for the dumpsters we rented from them. In short, I could care less what people think of me. If the Burns' and their employees hadn't done such a wonderful job and bent over backwards to do what they did for my grandmother and family, I'd have told them so. The truth of the matter is that in my personal experiences they were and are unbeatable. Were it ever to be necessary, I would highly recommend them and use them again in the future. read more
