I had just recently moved to Sebring, Florida, and had fallen in love with riding my electric scooter around beautiful Lake Jackson on a daily basis. I'm a very courteous rider, and whenever someone was walking toward me on the sidewalk, I would simply move into the street, let them pass, and then ease back into a driveway since there is no bike path along Lakeview Drive. On one of those driveway transitions, I encountered an unexpected two-inch saw-cut curb that sat above the street. On a scooter with 9 1/2-inch wheels, the moment my front tire hit that raised edge, it stopped instantly and threw me face-first onto the concrete. The accident split my upper lip open, knocked out my two front teeth, fractured my left cheekbone, and broke my left little finger. Being new to Florida, I had no idea where to turn. While I was in downtown Sebring, I noticed the Burnetti, P.A. office and walked in just before Christmas. There was one staff member working that day, and after listening to what had happened, she told me all of their attorneys were excellent. I told her, "I need one of your best. Who would you trust if this were your family?" Without hesitation, she suggested Attorney Dylan Griffin, describing him as "a bulldog." Because Dylan is based in Lakeland and I'm in Sebring, we met by phone. He spent as much time with me as I needed, carefully explaining my case and answering every question. He introduced me to his paralegal, Alex, who has been absolutely wonderful throughout the process. I've documented everything with photographs, ambulance reports, emergency room records, and ongoing medical treatment, and Alex has always made herself available whenever I've had questions or needed guidance. What has impressed me most is that Dylan has personally checked on me more than once--not just to discuss the case, but to see how I was doing and whether I needed any additional medical help. That level of personal concern has meant a great deal to me. My case is still moving forward, so this review reflects my experience to date. Burnetti has supposedly been representing me for a year now on a personal injury case. I have now had 3 different case managers. My attorney, Dylan, called to let me know that he heard from the other party's attorney 4 months ago and that he'd be back in touch with me soon. Well I have yet to hear from him or a case manager since. They wanted to just drop my case due to not being able to get a big settlement from the insurance company and I insisted they continue to take it to trial if need be because I was bit in the face by a dog and I would like the owners to be held accountable for my medical bills and pain and suffering from the event. I've been told I have fallen through the cracks a couple of times. Most unprofessional company I have come across in a long time. I am just going to assume my case has been closed and I am not going to hear from anyone moving forward. When you hire an attorney you think they want what is best for their customers, but instead I have now learned they want an easy win and easy money. It's sad because I was actually referred to work with this exact attorney and office from a friend who's case was won. My husband and I was in a accident August 2018... Took almost 3 years to settle my case. My husbands case all of a sudden disappeared after they settled mine. Have not heard anything and tried contacting Ashley and Dylan over this. No reply!!! Also they settled mine- I walked away with $3,000 and Burnetti got about $12,000 or $13,000... that was a huge insult!!! They also said all my medical bills would be taken care of during my settlement.. Well I'm still getting bills from one doctor and emailed Ashley and Dylan several times over it and now that they settled my case they DO-NOT reply or even no calls. I'm still getting a invoice from a doctors. Also heard no-more about husbands case. After mine was settled I guess they threw his out! Don't know. Heard nothing about his. I am assuming they got a settlement check from the insurance on his too and must kept it all. I do know if I am ever in need of a accident attorney or any attorney they will most definitely NOT be the ones I call. I only give two stars due to the fact they took 1 year to settle and i didn't even recieve 30% of the settlement. I recieved the least amount of money. They got more than i did. I did not recieve many calls or updates on my case unless i called to inquire. I only spoke to my attorney once the entire time. If this ever happens again.
