All Mamas out there, THIS IS YIYR GIRL for newborn/family photos…read more I am new to the area and a new mom who was looking for a newborn session that wasn't priced to high but still offered high quality images. The booking experience was so easy! We had a quick phone consult and I was quickly out at ease that this session was going to be exactly what I was looking for. She follows very safe measures when handling your baby, practices great hygiene and cleanliness the entire session and wore a mask. I loved how prepared she was when we walked in with all the little baby sets set up based off what I described to her I wanted. I sent her Inspo photos and she did as many as she could and more. She is really pleasant to work with and gives you so much freedom to pick and choose from her large selection of swaddles, blankets and props. She even has gowns and outfits for moms and siblings to use for family photos! I loved how she had everything you would need for changing baby, postpartum needs and lots of snacks and drinks. Her patience with feedings during the session was great. It really helped us to achieve calm and beautiful photos and we never felt rushed. Overall this was an incredible experience from the moment we walked in. All you really need is you and baby or family and she had the rest.

She is very patient, gentle, and our LO was pretty much asleep during the entire 3 hour session! AMAZING! (She woke up a few times, and Lisa was able to soothe her back to sleep! We used some of her techniques when we came home to soothe our LO back to sleep:D. ) With COVID-19, I noticed she was taking all the precautions to keep our LO and us safe. During our family shoot, we almost forgot to take off our masks, until Lisa reminded us! That would've been funny if we had taken our photos with our masks on. Without hesitation, I highly recommend her for newborn shoots. If you're looking for these type of newborn shots, they are VERY difficult to DIY at home. I say, leave it to the professional! :) We would be happy to have our LO model for Lisa any day!

My experience with Angela was FANTASTIC. Not only was she professional and got me prepared for our session with her e-mails (which I think answered every question I could have asked) but the day of the shoot she was GREAT. She was very patient with my little man (and me) and made me feel at ease. She used a variety of props (she has MANY to chose from) and all I can say is the pictures turned out so so wonderful. In fact my mom could not get off her website the entire time they were posted there. Needless to say I got them all (for an extra $$) and it was worth it. I made some calendars for grandma and even a coffee mug. I would highly recommend her as she is a great photographer #1 as well as very professional and through.

Her work is a cut above in the emotional factor. The poses she chooses aren't typical and this results in real feeling coming out in the final product vs. stilted fake smiles. I did an email consult with her. I told her my most important thing was to get great shots of my 7 year old son & I. I missed out on newborn photos and I've always regretted that. I told Michelle this, and boy, did she deliver. I bought the premium package that came with a keepsake album. When I opened the lovely box it came in, I immediately was overcome with tears. She captured everything I wanted and everything I didn't know I needed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Michelle! I love my photos. I will treasure them for the rest of my life. ...She also offered styling advice for this style-challenged Mom. She suggested 3 websites to buy clothes from. I ended up ordering a dress online that she recommended & It was so lovely and perfect. I love the way I look in my pictures. That was a nice touch that I wasn't expecting. My husband is always hesitant about photos as well and hates getting them done, but Michelle makes it really easy for everyone involved, including my toddler! I dont know where to start, so I'll just say it..... shes AMAZING in every way, as a photographer…read moreand as a human being. We planned a trip to San Diego for an anniversary and family vacation hybrid trip and I wanted to surprise my wife with a professional family photoshoot since I knew she had always wanted one. So I came on yelp to try and find someone who i thought would do a decent job of taking our family photo. And after some scrolling, which is a shame since I felt like she should be at the top, I saw some photos that caught my eye that I thought fit our style and what we liked and that's how i found kelsey! She was great at communicating with us the whole time. From helping give us ideas of what to wear, Giving us information about the locations she likes to shoot at and why she likes it, and answering pretty much every question we had in a very timely manner. Which was very crucial especially since this was booked kind of last minute lol. But she made everything so smooth it was like we had it planned for months. Once we got to location she made everyone feel super comfortable and gave great directions and never made anything feel forced. Also, we got there a little later than planned because there was some traffic so we were about 20 min or so late. But we never felt like we were being rushed to take pictures to try and make up for the time lost and we felt like we still got a lot done. As for the photos themselves, I'm not a very photogenic guy, I can look pretty ehhh in pics. but the magic she was able to do to make me look good should say something about her skills. But me aside, she made my wife and kids look beautiful and the overall photos were amazing. Originally we were only going to pick the middle package, which allowed for a certain amount of pics to be downloaded, but we couldnt make up our mind and pick just that amount, so we HAD to upgrade so we could get everything. It was THAT hard to choose bc everything was so good. This ended up being a way longer review than planned but I had to let the world know how great she is. She even surprised us with a surprise gift that literally lifted our spirits on a day we were feeling kinda crabby. I wish her nothing but good vibes and continued success and I wish everyone does themselves a favor and gets a session with her if ever in the San Diego area and looking for a photographer, cuz shes pretty good. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Photography skills - I absolutely love her natural style that uses the beautiful San Diego light to bring out the gorgeousness of everyone (and every pet :)) in the picture. She made us feel so comfortable during the shoot and was so flexible with us - including our dog who we wanted in some of the pictues. Kelsey also wants to tell a story with her photos and encourages having a series of photos to do so. This was such a relief when other photographers had quoted me the same/more and I would only select a handful of photos. Professionalism/personableness - Working with Kelsey also means gaining a friend. She helped me pick out outfits and was always encouraging while being honest (busy outfits or prints may not work so well in these photos!). She also wanted to sincerely know how my pregnancy was going and was a friend throughout the entire process. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Kelsey for all your photography needs. I am likely going to work with her again for a session with our kiddo :)
