It's remarkable how this restaurant has received such poor reviews for so long and remains in business. I really wanted a good fish sandwich and I'd read good things about BK's. It's my own fault, I should have known better. Four cars in line and it still took 15 minutes to get my food. Got home and the sandwich was cold and mushy ( I live 5 minutes away). On 8/29, I went to this location for lunch. My burger bun was hard, onion rings old, and was overcharged. On my way back to work, I called several times but no answer. I didn't eat the food and decided to take it back (including my drink) after I got off work. When I arrived at the store, the young lady at the front counter greeted me nicely. I explained everything and she proceeded to call the manager or shift named Tiffany. I don't understand how she became a leader, but her attitude was soooo nasty. Tiffany (I read her name tag) yelled at the young lady who needed her help, and she approached me with an attitude. Tiffany was combative the entire time. Tiffany is a poor excuse for a manager and does not represent your franchise well AT ALL. Tiffany needs training on how to operate a store correctly ESPECIALLY customer service skills. read more

I went to the BK in Semmes with my husband. I got a whopper junior and it was the size of a slider! It literally wasn't even 1/16 the size of my husband's whopper, which was much smaller as well. I got everything on it minus tomatoes (I'm allergic). It looked to a third of a slice of cheese, with one shred of lettuce and mayonnaise. Thus shrinkflation is ridiculous. I called the restaurant twice when we got home, I was hung up on twice. They don't have to worry about my business ever again. read more

I ordered online, when I got there the door was locked, I was in my company van that's real tall a couldn't go through the drive through. I tried to knock on the door for someone to come so I could explain my situation. they just kept looking the other way. I finally walked around to the drive up window and excused myself to the lady in the car. when the person opened the window and I started explaining myself all he could was proceed to let me know I d need to be yelling at him. after some more words and my opinion he told me to get off his property. zero customer service. How is this place still open? I RARELY go to fast food drive thrus, it takes a specific craving. We are second in line to the ordering box and have literally been sitting here for 13 minutes. And this is after waiting almost 10 minutes for the car ahead of the car ahead of us to place their order and move up. Meanwhile over at McD's the cars are whizzing thru their drive thru. How do they keep business?? Update: we made it to the box and can't understand a word the young lady is saying. "What would you like" curtly thru static. And something about the sprite being out when we ordered drinks. Ordered a different drink to have to translate that it was out too. I don't think the girl completed 4th grade. Really Burger King!!! This has got to be the slowest Burger King in South Alabama. Firstly, the person over the mic kept getting my order wrong and they didn't give me a total so I could prepare my form of payment before I approached the window. Secondly, I no joke waited an entire 15 minutes for an order of chicken nuggets for my mom. My mom is lucky that I love her because she almost missed out on chicken nuggets because of the slow/poor service. Keep in mind this has happened to me more than once: I order ahead in the app, and give it 15 mins before I even pull up. It takes half an hour to get to the speaker, and another 20 to get to a window. I get so sick of waiting, I go inside to see that the food I've already paid for is sitting behind the counter going cold in a pile of other orders, while a certain useless manager is in the back folding boxes, leaving poorly trained teens to do his job for him. I've stopped coming here entirely, no matter how pleasant morning staff is, just to avoid any chance of interacting with that waste of a paycheck. On one particular night, a $50 order magically disappeared along the treacherous journey from the speaker to the window. That same manager answered the speaker, and gave the full name to confirm when I only said the first name, so I know for a fact he's currently looking at the ticket. I get to the window, and that rat hides and sends a young girl to tell me the order got "lost" and they can't provide a refund. I expect an explanation, and he YELLS at her that "you can tell him we ain't got the order and we're not giving a refund, you gotta take care of that yourself" I've worked for plenty of scum management, but I know I've never experienced half of what that crew has to put up with read more

JUST SAY NO. Do not go here. Worst fast food restaurant we've ever been to. We only went there because we hadn't eaten all day (due to work) and it was on our way. Big mistake. Took 20+ minutes to get my husband's Whopper Jr. & cold onion rings. This place gives slow a bad name. You look in the dictionary under "slow" and you see this Burger King's picture. As I observed the kitchen staff working--and I use the term "working" loosely--I noticed two of the employees just standing around. Never have I seen this level of sloth at any other fast food joint. Usually the workers are busting their a** to get the orders out. IMPORTANTLY, only one worker had his hair covered--with a ball cap. All of the other workers had long hair, and it was not covered in any way, shape, or form. Disgusting. Last, the workers were wearing gloves, but they were touching everything, including picking things up off the floor, and then making the food orders. That's when I decided not to order anything. I attempted to use the drive thru. Someone came to the speaker and asked to take my order. I told the person I had a coupon code, and they said they would come back in a minute. Well, about 12 minutes later, I assume they have forgotten. So, I pulled around to the window. I told them what happened, and I was told I could not order at the window. We stopped on our way to the beach. It took a while to even place our order, even though we were the only people in line. The women's bathroom was closed which was very inconvenient for us and the men's bathroom was very unclean. The drink machine was out of ever soda except for Fanta and Root Beer and there were no lids available for our to-go cups. My family and I were going to vacation to Florida and we passed by this Burger King around noon. We were hungry and decided to stop here. This is probably one of the worst Burger King's we've ever been in. I was looking forward to getting one of the Memphis BBQ sandwiches that Burger King *just* started and was told it's been discontinued. I find it odd that another Burger King one day later had the the same sandwich and had no problem making it. Flies were everywhere. Evidently they thought their service must have been better for flies. It took a while to get our food and even then most of the food we wanted they were out of. Several people walked out after we came in while waiting in line due to slow service. I ordered the original crispy chicken and was told that they were out due to the promotion that just ended on the chicken sandwiches. I will say that the cashier at the counter was polite and apologetic for our bad experience. Even then, this doesn't seem to be an isolated occasion since I've read several reviews for this same Burger King on another site and each one gave it the worst rating they could. With all this in mind, I would probably suggest trying elsewhere if you're passing through and hungry. read more

Do not stop here. Doesn't deserve 1 star but I can't give less. We were on our way to Gulf Shores on 8/9/14 and stopped for late lunch. Long line, long wait, didn't get the order right, one cashier, dirty restaurant, flies everywhere, drink station filthy with no lids or straws, have to ask for ketchup and napkins but no one behind the counter will make eye contact with you. Pass this one by. How bad can a chain Burger King be? Bad. On our way back from the beach we needed a bathroom stop and decided to do a quick lunch. Don't do that. Wrong order, fries and burgers were cold and old and got tossed out before we left the parking lot. Bathroom was gross. Oh, and be careful opening the ladies restroom door because you will whack somebody in the face that's coming out of the men's room. The cashier was kind and helpful tipping the near empty ice tea container so I could get a little fiber in my tea with whatever was floating at the bottom. My wife enjoys about two things on this menu, otherwise I wouldn't set foot in here ever again. Unfortunately, The workers do not keep this restaurant clean properly. Also they seem to have a problem keeping their priorities in order when it comes to crowd control and order taking. They will take one order maybe two, and then turn their backs to you for 10 to 15 minutes while they figure out how to make those two orders. Horrible experience!! Sat in the drive through for over 15 minutes at 2:30 in the afternoon. Got to the window and gave the cashier my debit card. She swiped it, but never gave me the total. I asked for the receipt, only to be told that their machine was broken. So I asked how much it was for my Whopper and 4 small drinks. She had no idea. It took her and two other workers another 5 minutes of discussion before she came back to tell me it was "about $20." I said, "no way, not for 1 sandwich and 4 small drinks!" They then had another summit to discuss how much it was and finally came back with a total of $12.31. That was still far more than what I had expected. I had ordered 4 of the $1.09 drinks, and had been charged $1.79 for each one. The cashier said, "the prices on the board are not correct". I hit the roof and said that was inexcusable. She said I would have to talk to the manager, who, conveniently was not there. When I finally got home, I realized my Whopper was pitifully under-dressed and barely warm and the drinks were very watered down. Their food and customer service are pathetic!! My nine year old granddaughter, who was in the car with me, says they should change their name from "Burger King" to "Bozo King". I think she might be right! read more
