LIMITED TIME OFFER The Big Billy Burger
Daisa J.

I recently stopped by Burger Billy's Joint to try it out and had an overall okay experience. I ordered The Cherrydale Brisket Burger and The Big Billy Burger, along with the hot honey tenders and fries. The burgers were decent--nothing that really stood out, but still satisfying and filling. The hot honey tenders had a nice sweet and spicy flavor, though I wish they had a bit more kick. As for the fries, they were pretty standard. The vibe is casual, and it's a solid option if you're just looking for a quick burger spot in the area. While it didn't completely wow me, I'd be open to coming back and trying something different on the menu.

I really wanted to give this spot a higher review. But they left out things on my order that they charged me for. Anyway, this spot has been going viral online for being a spot that one of the presidents ex-chefs opened up (Come to find out, they were just using him for clout). Either way, I wanted to try them out. I ordered a custom burger and fries. I also ordered two different sauces to try (which they charged me $1 a piece and didn't put it in the bag). The fries were hand cut fries, they really reminded me of five guys fries, so if you like five guys fries, you'll like these. They were ok. The burger flavor wise was good. Seasoned patty, fresh ingredients, toasted bun. All the components that make a good burger. So I see why this spot is hyped up. Definitely one of the top burger spots I've tried in the DMV. Just not #1.

Amazing burgers and the staff were friendly! It's a cute little burger joint. I would definitely come back again when I'm around the area.

Definitely one of the better burger spots I've tried. Brisket on the burger was tasty and juicy. But I wouldn't get it again because it was a little heavy (and messy) for my liking. Those fries on the other hand were dang perfect. Twister Fries over Sweet Potato Waffle Fries over Cajun Fries. But they were all equally pretty dang good! They get a star just for the free NBA Jam arcade player in the background! Nice cozy fast-casual vibes! Parking in the back. Highly recommended!

Worth all the social media hype. *Food: The burgers are really, really good. The loco burger has a nice infused flavor of spicy and savory. The bacon cheeseburger is good as well. The fries and onion rings were freshly cooked. The honey jerk wings have a good balance of jerk spice and honey flavors. * Service is unmatched. Food comes out nice and fresh. The food was ready faster than a drive thru. Seriously impressed by how fast the food arrived to table. *Ambiance- small dining area. It's more like a grab and go spot.

My buddy in PA sent me this spot on Instagram and once I saw the burger I knew I needed to give them a shot. I drove over on a Friday after the lunch rush and they weren't busy. It was super cold inside so a little heat would have been nice. Once we walked in, Jalen was standing behind the counter and let me tell you, he has GREAT customer service skills. If he isn't the restaurant manager, then give him a raise. I asked for suggestions and he sold me on the Old Bay wings (even though he never had them) and the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger. I also added some Cajun fries. Let's start with the burger. The 4 ounce patty is small. Reminds me of a smash burger. The bacon on the burger is GREAT! The Billy's mayonnaise sauce as a good taste to the burger. The bun was decent however there is so much bread it overshadows the patty to me. For the price I expected more. The Cajun fries have a great kick. They are Cajun for sure. They were made fresh and Jalen brought them to our table. The old bay wings were HEAVEN sent. They had GREAT flavor, cooked to perfection. I'll go back for these anytime. Nice crisp and all. Overall this is a good establishment. The customer service is great and the food is really good. I'll be returning for sure.

Found Burger Billy's Joint on Instagram and decided to make a mommy-son date out of it. Zero regrets. The portions are no joke. We took half our food home and still left satisfied. Billy had a fried chicken sandwich up that day and it was the kind that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate it. Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned. The twister fries were right there with it. Light crunch. Addictive. One thing I love is how Billy takes a moment to walk first-timers through the menu. You know exactly what you're ordering and what you can add to make it yours. It felt personal in the best way. We'll be back. Often

A great burger joint with good homemade sauces and the owner is very present. When we first arrived the owner told us there was about an hour and a half wait. It was just a warning that they were quite busy and the food could take a while. We were ok with that as we were not in a rush and made our orders appropriately. The food was ready in about 20 minutes so it wasn't much of a long wait. We found some cheap paid parking on a side street but apparently there was free parking behind the spot. There is a good casual ambiance of pop music playing and a free to play NBA Jam arcade machine to pass the time as well. The space was relatively clean for the most part and there were plenty of tables both inside and out depending on the weather. The food was amazing. We got the Cherrydale Brisket Burger of course. How could you not get the signature burger your first time in? You can customize the burger to what toppings you would like. My only complaint was not having enough sauce on the burger for my taste. The fries were also delicious and made fresh. We highly recommend this spot!

Good Service, Disappointing Food I really wanted to like this place because of the hype, but it just didn't deliver. The customer service was actually great--the staff were friendly and attentive--but that's about the only highlight. I ordered the Tex-Mex burger, and the patty was paper thin. The flavor was fine, but there was barely any meat, definitely not worth $13. My son's Impossible burger came with shredded lettuce instead of whole leaves, which made it look messy and cheap. The Lemon Pepper wings were drenched in butter or oil, and the Buffalo wings were dry with barely any sauce, even though I asked for them extra crispy. The fries (more like thick wedges) were bland and forgettable. My brother's brisket burger didn't impress him either. The owner asked how everything was, which I appreciated, but overall, the food just didn't hit the mark. Glad I tried it once, but I wouldn't go back or recommend it.

I stumbled upon this place while looking for a new burger spot. I was intrigued by the owner's story so decided to check it out. I went to the website to place an order for pickup but when I got to the point of placing the order, the site said it couldn't accept orders. I double checked that they were open and they were so I was confused. I decided to call and see if I could get confirmation that they were open. I really didn't want to drive the 20+ minutes there if they weren't open. Found the number on the website and called but there was no answer. And no recording or way to leave a message. Now I was getting annoyed. I debated going somewhere else but really wanted to try this place, so I got on my car and drove, hoping I wouldn't be making the trip for nothing. I arrived and found a spot on the street right in front of the place and went inside. It wasn't that busy and there were staff up front making food and putting together orders. I walked up to the counter and a man greeted me kindly. I told him I tried to place an online order and he explained that they had run out of something earlier and had closed and only just reopened. I told him I tried calling and he said they don't have a phone number (insert my confused face). I told him there's a number on the website and he said that's probably the owner's personal cell. Say what?! Anyway, I was there, this guy was pleasant, so I placed my order. I got a Billy's Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger and added lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and Keshaun's honey barbecue sauce. I also got regular fries without sauce. I sat in one of the chairs (not at a table) to wait, and it didn't take long to receive a text that my order was ready. They have lockers for pickup but they just handed me my food. It wasn't bad but won't be my number one burger spot. There wasn't anything about it that wow'd me unfortunately. I was happy that I could finish the fries and the burger without feeling overly full as I do at some other spots.

Twister Fries
Salvador O.

The restaurant is small but cozy the bathroom was extremely clean. The service was quick and friendly The food was amazing. The twister fries were soft and crispy and not oily at all. The burgers was top tier and extremely tasty. The buns are small and soft so expect them not soak up any sauces you have on the burger. My only complaint is it's only bottle drinks and not a fountain set up. But honestly that won't affect the amount of stars it gets. This was definitely worth the trip and we will be there again to try the other burgers.

So we found this place on social media and my partner really wanted to try it and I'm glad we did! I was happy to see they had a homemade veggie burger which is rare at burger places I've been to since it's usually the premade ones. The fries were amazing and a good size! We got 2 to split between the 4 of us! I loved the sweet potato waffle fries and the twister ones. The burger I veggie burger had was pretty good as well. It's a chill casual place but the food was amazing and would def go there again.

Food was so delicious I couldn't put it down! Wow. I heard this was the best burger place but I couldn't believe it till I tried it! It was everything you would want from a burger. I tried the classic build your own and the cherrydale burger. Both had amazing flavor. I personally didn't care for the bourbon sauce too much but the other ones were great! Placed the food for takeout inside and it did not take too long. They also had a free nba arcade game you could play while you waited. The inside was clean and the workers were funny.

The visit was unique, the story is unique and the food is unique! Let's do this! Established in 1950 or 1954 (reports vary but the sign on the building says 1954), Weenie Beenie was a modest hot dog stand serving hot dogs and beans. It was started by two brothers, Carl and Bill Staton. Bill happened to be an incredible and ultimately famous traveling pool player who went by the name... you guessed it... Weenie Beenie! He won 27k in Arkansas (which is a LOT of money in the 1950's) and used the money to finance the hot dog stand's growth! He appeared on television, played hustlers across the country, and backed other hustlers while living the pool and entrepreneur life. During the 50's, a period of entrenched segregation in Virginia, Weenie Beenie distinguished itself by hiring black employees on the same terms as whites when most white‑owned businesses would not hire blacks at all. This made Weenie Beenie a rare example of early workplace integration in Arlington and a meaningful employer within the historically Black Green Valley community. Its reputation for fairness became a very important part of its legacy, remembered along with the food and its very colorful founder. We popped over and found a 70+ year old walk-up stand with a colorful, diverse and engaging set of customers and friendly service. In faded letters on the front wall to the left are the 10 commandments! No breaking any divine rules at Weenie Beenie's! We all chatted and I learned the one guy comes every day! The old man in the suit was very polite and reserved. The younger Latin and black clientele were fun and engaging and we joked around quite a bit. Another older man was as 38-year veteran of the armed service! Thank you sir! I heard some stories... Of course, we ordered half-smokes! They are well-seasoned half-pork, half beef, smoked sausages that are truly incredible. Weenie Beenie's are unique and delicious! Life is good with a historic, unique, fun and respectful half smoke.

This place is always empty and it's obvious why The burger patties have very little in terms of a crust, just a generic slab of meat with very little flavor. They really come off like cheap pre-made patties. My burger had a big chunk of the tough part of the lettuce that made the burger really unbalanced. I see people referring to this as a good value but the burgers cost $16 and they charge you an extra $5 for a side (including fries). It would cost me $16 to get a way better burger that comes with a side from Rhodeside, All About Burger would give me a better burger for $9 and at dinner time I'd be able to get a full combo for $10. Lyon Hall, which is a much fancier place, charges you $20 for a burger and fries. This is one of the more expensive burgers you can get here and they seem to actually be the most expensive place in the area to actually get a burger and fries. I ordered a side caesar salad and it was really bad. The cheese tasted like something out of a bag, the croutons were by no exaggeration the worst and most boring croutons I've ever had. Also, the dressing was given on the side, when I eat in at a restaurant I don't expect to dress my own salad and it gave me more of an impression that the food comes in premade. One member of the party got the spicy cheese curds which just seemed like small (not very good) mozzarella sticks. This place tries to be everything and has no identity because of it. They are going for a country sports bar vibe and they're named "burger district" yet they have a wine menu. They have a bunch of random wraps, appetizers, fish and chips, even waffles and spaghetti (for kids) on their menu! I count 15 different types of burgers +3 types of smash burgers. There are 6 kinds of salads. They desperately need to shrink the menu and find a few things to do well.

The Crystal City location ended up being an expensive curiosity. $22.56 for a single-patty bacon cheeseburger, small fries and a fountain soda. My order turned out to be a case of opposites. The first thing I noticed was that the nearly $10 burger was shockingly small, the patty so skinny. The cheese on the burger had not been melted and they used iceberg lettuce. The bun was dry and it fell apart before I was finished. But the "small" fries turned out to be a whole sack of fries. But before you say yay, these fries were oily and limp and I could only eat some of them. It's a build your own burger emporium. The toppings list showed only fried onions and so I asked if they had fresh onion. The cashier didn't know what fresh onion was, but did know what raw onion was. I wanted to try the onion rings, but had the sense to ask if they were beer-battered. When she told me they were, I took a hard pass. No Coke products were available, only Pepsi. That's never a good thing. And why did my receipt show the business name as "Maman Joon"? I wouldn't say the burger was bad, but considering the not great fries with too high prices (including a $2.24 service and packaging fee) and a stark and uninviting ambience, I can't give more than two stars.
