I used to really enjoy burger bar. However the last few times I have gone, I have been very disappointed in their burgers. I always get the Big Ben Burger. The burger is always smashed together and there is not a god damn thing special about it. No pride in a burger being made. The raspberry shake was ok, but nothing like they used to be. Onion rings and sauce are still good though which is where my two stars come into play. But, the burger and shake really bring my rating down especially since this is a reoccurring problem. Customer service was good last time I came here. This time due to my appearance of looking Asian, in which I am not and of European descent, I was treated poorly. I think this is due to the coronavirus. The cashier and person giving my order was the same person as my previous visits. When I handed my payment card the employee chucked it back to me on the counter. When I asked for ketchup the same employee chucked it in my bag as if it was a game of basketball. I really love Burger Bar's veggie burger and fries. That said, the customer service here is not the best. The teenage workers always are rude and unpleasant every time I have come here. For example, last time, as I was picking up my food from the pick up window, I asked for barbecue sauce and the boy gave me a dirty look, sighed dramatically like he was annoyed and then slammed the barbecue cups into my chicken basket so hard the food fell to the side. Food here is great, i have been here multiple times and the food is great, albeit a little pricey. The exotic meat of the month is great as well. I really enjoy and suggest getting the meat of the month burgers with the sauces on the side, so as to enjoy the raw flavor of the exotic meat. Nothing to write home about. The bread is really the only thing that stands out. It's a little dirty outside but that's understandable since most people eat on the benches. This place is fantastic. The prices are awesome. I got a simple cheeseburger for $1.45 and it was way more than I expected. It was decent sized AND tasted great. It even had lettuce and the works on it. The fries were probably some of the best I've had. Perfect temp and salt and slightly crispy on the outside . Huge disappointment for a place that was on Divers, Drive-Ins and Dives. The meat patty is flavorless and thin. They put on way too much sauce so it soaks through the bun and drips everywhere. They hire teenagers to work there with zero customer service. We've gone here a total of 3 times, thinking that our next experience would be better. Putting 7 pickles on it didn't help. The over easy egg was a flat egg with no yolk or flavoring. It was total miss. Nothing about the burger was worth paying for or eating. The fries were good, even cold, but there is no magic involved in mixing mayo with catsup no matter what you call it. All in all my experience was exactly a non worth while event.
