Desperate to find a theater near us playing the well-reviewed Lego Batman Movie after its 7th week, we--two adults and two children--decided to try out the Burg-Theater in Hechingen, a good 20 minute car ride from our home. This was well worth the extra travel time. We had reserved tickets online so we could pick them up from the friendly cashier with time to spare for buying SALTY popcorn (they offer both! Amazing for this cute little, family-run theatre) and rather spicy nachos. If you go before 4pm, adults pay the same as kids, making this a great deal for families. Our 50-seat theatre, the smallest of the four theatres, was comfortable, spacious and even has love-seat seating (for 2) at the far right of each of row which my hubby and I opted for. There's also a practical small, wooden counter for sharing popcorn and drinks in front of each row (instead of just a drink holder every two seats which you find in most theatres.) We are definitely planning to return here! Parking is a bit tricky, but we could park for free (Sunday) on a parallel street. read more
