Great spot in a hipster-ish neighborhood, stopped here for beer and some bites…read more Service was excellent, sitting at a table on the sidewalk with the cars and buses whooshing past. I was looking at that very short two-inch curb with a little trepidation but all was well. Excellent Chilean beer, a red ale at 7.2% ABV. Cerveza Ale Fuerte. Delicious! With the beer, we got a combination of empanadas (chicken and beef) that were very hot and very delicious. Smaller but packed with tasty goodness. As well, an interesting quinoa pizza. I'd call it a flatbread, but there was no bread. The base of it was pressed quinoa and then topped with cheese and tomato sauce and basil. Different and interesting.

First night in the city and wanted to try as many things as humanly possible. Walked by this bar…read moreand noticed some drink specials, so decided to drop in. Not crowded at all for a Thursday night; easily grabbing two seats at the bar. Bartender mercifully spoke English as we ordered the "Terremoto" ($2.500pesos) to share. The drink is essentially a very sweet wine combined with pineapple ice cream. Who and why someone came up with this concoction is anyone's guess - but the drink is certainly sweet; a little too sweet. I can see how this would be refreshing on a hot summer day, though not essentially a normal drink to order. Seems like a cool spot with outdoor seating and a dimly lit interior. Fine enough for a stopover.

When I went the first thing I noticed was how inviting the place was with the fun choice of music and how warm they kept it inside. I also really enjoy the layout of the bar. There are lots of little rooms, each with 3 to 5 tables which makes it perfect for a more private evening out, or you can also enjoy yourself at their classy bar. Naturally there is also space if you want to go out with a group of friends or have a happy hour with your work buddies. They even have karaoke, fun! There pisco sour was just yummy and they have some great things to nibble on as well. They cheese platter is beautifully arranged with salami and several artisanal cheeses. I tried their manchas a la parmesana (clams baked with parmesan cheese) which were not the best I've had, but good. Their empanadas we just fine as well the only strange thing is that they were served on a plate and covered in plastic rap (maybe a mishap). All in all a nice chill bar to spend an evening.
