I have worked with Laurie for several years. I have adopted a total of 4 rabbits total. She is always there for me when I have questions. Even went halfway when I was on assignment in Missouri to help deliver my current adoption bunny, Pearl, to me. Laurie always goes out of her way to help these animals and even more often finances their needs from her own pocket. She has helped me numerous times when I needed her and in return I have fostered bunnies that needed halfway houses. My response to ppl like Shannon, and those who left negative comments is don't adopt bunnies from her and then re-dump them bc "you can't continue to care for them. " You wouldn't adopt a child and then give them up bc "you thought you could care for them, but now you can't". It's no different with animals. I am a travel nurse and travel with my dog and rabbit all over the country. If you love the animals and are truly committed, you'll make it work. No bullshit excuses. I became a bunny foster parent through the nashville bunny rescue and Laurie has been so helpful and supportive through the entire process! Our first bun was a total foster fail because I fell in love with him instantly. I went through a nightmare with a botched neuter and I truly could not have gotten through it without Laurie. She was on the phone with me for hours talking me through each step and calmed me down through what was literally the worst night of my life. She always goes above and beyond for those who partner with her and makes sure you're set up for success and fully educated. this rescue is so wonderful I took on a second foster bunny and I know I can count on Laurie to help me through the bonding process when the time comes. I have teamed up with Laurie & Bunny Rescue when MANY local veterinary hospital were uneducated about Bunnies & my Alamo was in need. She provided her medical care, educated me & showed my "sassy" best friend so much love. That started my RESCUES ONLY journey & due to previous owners lack of proper medical care- I lost more rescues than I could bear. Laurie continuously gives me the courage & Faith to keep going. These bunnies come from some of the most horrific situations & you'd be annoyed too if incompetent folks toss them away soon after buying them. In response to Matthew, the person who wrote the inaccurate review: he and his wife violated their adoption contract where they signed a legally binding contract promising to keep the rescued rabbit inside at all times. When we discovered they had moved the rabbit outside, and had been feeding it a horribly poor diet, we immediately reclaimed the animal. We were quick to point out there infractions to them over the phone and that is why this man is claiming his wife was offended. In reality, they were in clear violation of their contract and they utterly failed this animal on all levels. We will always re-claim and re-rescue an animal when needed. This animal certainly needed rescuing yet again because Matthew and his wife broke their promises to take good care of the animal. read more

This is a great organization that truly aims to help rescue, rehabilitate and love on rabbits. Laurie, the founder, is always available for questions and guidance. The rescue does a lot of work educating the public about proper care and treatment of rabbits. I personally have worked alongside Laurie as well as other volunteers to help catch rabbits that were discarded and left defenseless to fend for themselves outdoors. I recommend attending one of the many adoption events that are held if you already have rabbits or are thinking about getting one, you will meet many rabbit lovers and make lifelong friends. Can not recommend this organization enough--it has a heart of gold and makes a difference in the lives of these sweet animals. read more

I had to find a place for a dog my friend owned. The dog was in bad shape and not easy to handle. He was scared and dirty. I could not keep him in my house because of my dogs. Someone gave me her number and I called with all the details that I knew. Laurie immediately took the reins and found someone to keep him for one night until she could get him to a vet. He was taken the next day and now has a new forever home. Happy and healthy thanks to Laurie and her compassion for all animals. She saved more than the dog that night. There was no charge for her services which I did not expect. Not sure if thats normal procedure but I will be donating to her rescue in the future! read more

BEWARE!!! The owner of this rescue has kept my friends bunny captive. sweet peaches, her bunny, escaped and went missing. A neighbor found her and gave her to this rescue (thinking she was doing the right thing). The owner will not give back peaches the bunny until she has her spayed and until she examines the living quarters of the bunny's home. The police were notified and unfortunately this is a civil matter. Why would anyone passionate about saving bunny's lives purposely traumatize and withhold someones pet. A pet bunny to two little boys!!!! shame on this rescue. We will get peaches back!!! read more

We adopted a rabbit from Bunny Rescue this year and the entire process was wonderful. The founder took extra time to educate each of my kids on rabbit care, and then they were nice enough to follow up with monthly calls to help us book a pet sitter when we needed to travel, and they also offered us free grooming for the life of the animal. They really do go above and beyond the call of duty for each rescue. I would highly recommend this rescue for anyone thinking about a rabbit for a pet! read more

Super fast response time to a hurt bunny we found in a pool. She was very helpful in letting me know how to make the bunny more comfortable like what temperature to keep him and making sure he is in a quiet space.
