From the moment I walked in with her, to leaving her for the actual surgery I felt at ease with all the staff and doctors. They kept me updated every day with her recovery. The reason for 4 stars is the second night after I brought her back home I did have to rush her back because she was having symptoms of what I thought was sepsis and the night shift staff were not as helpful or kind as the day shift. During that visit my fiancé and I waited over 7 hours to finally speak to someone about her, we didn't even know if she was okay for hours and we didn't even get to go to the hotel we booked over night as we initially arrived to the ER around 1:30am. Other than that the surgery and recovery did go extremely well. She's like a brand new kitty. Hopefully we bought her another 15 years. As far as pricing I will be extremely transparent. I was originally quoted 4-6k but then after an ultrasound they saw something that would require a little more effort so then that went up to 6-8k. After I got her back the first time it was 7200$ and then the second visit was $500. I have no regrets. Thank you.

Because I had been out of town, he had already gone over 48 hours without fluids. This is not optional care..it is essential. Without asking a single follow-up question about his condition or how long he had gone without treatment, she told me she couldn't provide a needle and that he could "wait another day." When I explained that he had already missed over two days of fluids and that I was concerned, she told me that if it were a "real emergency," I would have planned better. Let that sink in: a veterinarian told me that my cat missing multiple days of medically necessary fluids was not an emergency because of my "planning." There was zero compassion, no attempt to help, no alternatives offered, and no concern for the animal. I was standing there holding his prescribed subcutaneous fluid bag with his name and information clearly labeled and even offered to provide his SOAP note, yet instead of helping, she, in an obviously mockiny and unhelpful way, suggested I could always spend $200 for needles if I were to bring my cat in for a full exam just to be entered into their system before they would sell me needles, fully aware that this wasn't possible that night. I told her plainly that my only options were to go home and attempt to reuse an old needle or have her help my cat who urgently needed fluids, and she still refused. I was ultimately turned away and left in the unacceptable position of having to consider reusing an old needle just to care for my cat.

Dr. Furgang was a blessing during a time of desperation and pain for us. Instead, I was abruptly told the surgery had been pushed all the way to June 7th without a single phone call, email, explanation, or apology. When I asked why my dog's surgery date had been changed without notifying me, I was told they were "not obligated" to explain. That response alone was shocking, but the interaction only got worse from there. The staff member became hostile, argumentative, and incredibly unprofessional simply because I asked reasonable questions about my pet's medical care. I was repeatedly interrupted, accused of being rude for trying to understand what happened, and hung up on multiple times. What makes this even worse is that I later called back specifically to apologize in case there had been any misunderstanding and genuinely tried to de-escalate the situation respectfully. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, I was told to "take my business somewhere else" and hung up on again. Completely unacceptable behavior from a veterinary office.
