I have never been to an establishment like Rammi Dammi Kinderland. It is a gigantic playland for…read morechildren aged from about 2 to 10 years old. The premises is amazing. It includes about 10,000 square feet of clear span play area, the roof being held up by gigantic girders, and an associated cafe/snack bar, ticket booth and restrooms. I believe there is also a small area for lockers. The cafe/snack bar is pretty good, but this review is about the play area. Kids simply go wild with excitement when they first arrive. All the hapless parent can do to is take off their jackets and shoes before letting them run to the attractions. The attractions are a really interesting collection of kid's climbing, sliding, spinning, bouncing, suspending, jumping and driving features, all very imaginative. Driving? Yes, there is a miniature racetrack with battery-powered cars which in turn are Euro-enabled, each drive lasting several minutes before the car stops and requires another Euro coin. It's certainly a favorite with older kids. Parents, not so much. There's a huge safety-caged jungle-jim feature, about 20 feet high (with appropriate safety netting) that kids love, both for the challenge of climbing as well as the neat view from on high. The occasional adult will give it a try, and find out belatedly that his/her jungle jim days are long past. The longest slide is one composed of rollers, which the kids love. Plastic seats are supplied, and the ride down is scarey fast for them. Very popular. At the rear of this large room is a climbing feature, very heavy vinyl stretched up to the ceiling at about a 45 degree angle with climbing aids attached at random points. Those who make it to the top can slide down and do it again. Why not Five Stars? The place is showing signs of deferred maintenance. Some of the ceiling plastic is hanging loose, many of the rides show signs of serious wear, and in general, the place exudes shabbiness, despite all the bright colors. Unless the owners throw some money at it, it will become unsafe and unattractive, eventually. Some attractions are marginal as it is. Kids sure love it, though.
