Dale's Candy Store - My Dairy Milk haul

Tip: This store carries candy, snacks, and more from around the world…read more I was shopping at Collection Outlet Winnipeg and had just come out of a store. Across from it was Dale's Candy Store. I like candy. No, I love candy. I had to check it out, as it was new to me since I was last at this outlet mall. I saw Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck. It was a game that emphasized cooperation. He looked so cute on the box. It was nice seeing jigsaw puzzles, taffy, and gum on the same display table. So much fun! It took me a long time to look at a wall with jerky and popcorn. It was my first time seeing caviar-flavoured jerky. The popcorn varieties were incredible. Whisky caramel stood out from the artisan kettle corn collection. I spotted Smuckers and Jif peanut butter and jelly Pop popcorn. I had to get a bag. There was a lot to look at. This store had a bunch of scratch-and-sniff stickers, both stinky and cheerful scents. I got a couple of Dairy Milk bars that were imported from New Zealand and Australia. The pink lemonade and chocolate malt flavours sounded yummy, so I got one of each. I waited in line to pay for my items. I liked looking at Care Bears fuzzy backpacks and beverages in the corner. An older woman, who was at the checkout, was friendly and thanked me for waiting. She asked me if I needed a bag. I declined, as I had a bag full of purchases with me. I said that the popcorn and chocolate bars wouldn't last long. She laughed. I was right. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and the transaction was complete. I placed my items in my bag, thanked her, and left. The Dairy Milk bars were delicious. I loved the pink lemonade and malt flavours. I devoured both back in my hotel room within a couple of days. The peanut butter and jelly popcorn was excellent. The grape jelly flavour was perfect with the peanut butter, as you'd expect from this combination. I just wish that the popcorn bag came in a larger size. This store was a great find. I look forward to returning for more popcorn and snacks. (260)

I had never heard of this place until someone told me about it. You can buy everything from candy, cleaning supplies, electronic accessories, decorative items etc. The list goes on and on so if you like wandering through a warehouse full of random stuff than this is the place for you. You will walk out of this place with something....and it's likely something you never intended on buying in the first place or thought you ever needed. Of course it's CASH only so don't think about debit or credit. Open Monday-Friday 8 am-4:45 pm and Saturday 8 am - 2:45 pm. Parking is on the Dufferin and Arlington so just turn into the parking lot off of Dufferin.

I asked them to hold the items I wanted to purchase and they were really rude about it. When I came back with my wallet they said they had put all the stuff back because I was "Never coming back". It doesnt state anywhere that there is a time limit of how long you could be there but apparently its "1 hour". Complete horrible experience. I would not recommend this place to anybody!

It's more of an old school toy store, you won't really find Barbies or video games there but there's a lot of offerings that kids will love because it'll actually allow them to use their imagination! The staff are okay, I can't say they've been super attentive but it gives you time to just browse without someone hovering over you.

There's an art to putting together a top-notch toy store. You have to make sure that there's something uniquely fun and entertaining for all ages and all personality types. Toad Hall perfectly appeals to everyone from the simplest child to the grown up supergeek. It's all beautifully arranged. There's a section on touchy-feely tactile toys. There are stuffed animals and puppets. There are areas of the store dedicated to space aged robotic contraptions. There are places for those who are really into magical ponies. And then there's the absolute best model railroad center within a thousand miles. And although it is large without being overwhelming, It's still extremely difficult to browse here without being compelled to buy something. And it's extremely difficult to make that selection... there's just too much amazing. This place is like an extremely well curated FAO Schwartz... every toy is hand selected for it's uniqueness, creative strength and pure fun. In a city where children of all ages have to find inventive ways to stay warm in the winter, this spectacular store rises to the challenge and knocks it out of the park. A must see.

If you are going through security for domestic flights, it's on your right once you clear it. I gawked at the candy apples. I always want one, but I didn't get one when I had arrived. I was driving over the border, heading to the Twin Cities. Bringing in an apple would be horrific. I knew that I wouldn't be able to finish it. I also needed a knife to carve it up, and didn't have one sharp enough to do it and not look like a murderer. I had time to kill before flying back to Toronto. I walked in to check the store out after I breezed through security thanks to NEXUS. I could have got a candy apple. I'd have had to wait to get home to slice and dice it. Instead, I got a box of no-sugar-added chocolates in a small mountain peak box. No knife needed. The box had the following items: - Sea salt square - Peanut butter cup - Milk chocolate meltdown - Coconut cluster - Almond cluster The sweetener is maltitol. It's a sugar alcohol. I don't recommend eating the entire box in one sitting. I had the coconut cluster first. It was delicious. Yummy coconut enrobed in milk chocolate. So good! I also had the sea salt square. I loved it. It's the caramel with the salt that made me happy. I finished the rest when I got back to the greater Toronto area. Sadly, I never thought of taking photos. I will next time when I get another peak box. There are also vegan options at this store. Nice! I'm glad that I can finally say that I dropped by and got chocolates. (497)
